I had to add this 100 amp in line to the batt. return terminal from altenator. I add don reuse old wiring from original 84 motor setup when doing this so I guess the wire could not handle the load of amprege coming from it as well so I replaced with (10 Ga.) and added this 100 amp resetable in-line to the block on firewalll. We'll see. Also put some teflon bushing and bolts on the top rad. hose to help keep it off the fan blades near where it was sitting. They are 1 3/4" adel type with rubber padding. Off Ebay thanks again don for all your help.

I have done very little due to money issues , but am looking forward to getting it on the road soon. Thanks for all the comments. I have bought new tires and repainted old rally rims myself. It turned out ok I think. Plus shined up chrome alittle. next thing is the interior. oh joy. any suggestions on sound deaden or how to repair a cracked dash.

Those rallies look great. Nice work. I understand the whole money thing for sure.
As far as the interior goes good luck with that one. You can buy aftermarket parts for everything but most don't fit too good. I have seen some guys do fiberglass repairs on here that turned out nice. I tried it on my son's truck and it was just too far gone.
Keep the updates coming:)

Re: project " Blue-Ray"

Thinking of going back with two tone as shown, but am open to options from the viewers. The drop is 2.5" drop spindle and 5" rear flip. done by no other than 68 short step. I am going to try my hand at the interior if I can. any suggestions on sound deaden? brand or co$t. and carpet , ect? thanks again for looking

Re: project " Blue-Ray"

I like the idea of the two tone paint. Especially if you are running the oem style mouldings. It's pretty hard to beat the factory look of these trucks. I love them. One of these days I'll own one of my own with LS power too.:)

This Fat Mat x-treme goes down pretty good I think. Use the roller you will need it to lay it down right. I also wanted it to look good so I put down A/C foil tape over seams.

Then the carpet it is from LMC truck as the headliner, and I think it looks good and fits ok as well. Color is the original blue that came with truck. It fit good enough to not have to cut or abuse it to make it fit. little problems on headliner where the visor holes are cut, but other than that nice products.

Then the trim and moldings, ignore the look as I will be painting the trim later on when I get the truck painted for final color, as I will remove them all and repaint. wish me luck.

Finally the original bench seat, not bad condition huh? Will redo later on as well. I hope you get the idea of the overall original restore(besides motor work) Hope the rest comes out as good.
