Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Good lookin build man, Its nice to see us young guys buildin trucks. Im pretty much the only kid at school that can change my oil without breaking somethin. Everyone else takes their vehicles to a shop to get it fixed. I really respect people that do things theirselves.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Thanks a lot yea I know exactly what you mean and I feel the same way. There's only a handful of people that I know that do stuff themselves. Most kids are lame these days.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Very lame indeed. I have a few buddies that are into old trucks, but i still wind up doing most of the work on them. In the past year Ive repainted 1, dropped a motor in 2, and countless other maintenance work on my buddies trucks... owell, maybe one day theyll learn lol

Sound like a good way to get money Rick... All my friends are broke so i wind up doing work for free. lol
|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
haha well i will probably enbd up doing it for free haha but if they wanna pay me then that will be nice!
|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Lol ive gotta start charging... Im too broke to be doin this for free haha
|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Yea my friends really love my truck and appreciate the work that has gone into it but I could NEVER see them building anything of their own...or doing anything minor for that matter lol. Gray I see "86 chevy SWB, One day.." in your sig. There's a kid 2 years younger than me that has that exact truck. Also, one of my friends has a '71 f**d but other than that there arent any old classics.
|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Hah, you should see that 86 SWB... Right now the only thing useable is the bed, front clip, and frame, The cab is completely trashed, it has over 3/4 in. of bondo in spots. No drivetrain and no interior. But, One day I want to do a frame off resto, With a 90 GMC clip, a 4BT or 12 valve cummins diesel w/5 speed, red and white 2 tone, ralleys, and either some flat top stacks or 6 inch rolled edge duals :metal:
I think that would be crazy and original. And the 20+ mpg would be nice too |
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Man that'd be really sick.
Yea I'd love to have a 5 speed but I'm puting my 4 back in because it's really strong, it's in good condition, and really cool. Muncie SM420. Here's a link all about it- http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/sm420.htm 7.05:1 1st gear!!!! |
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
dayumm! That was my original plan, a 355 and muncie 4 speed stick, but after i started thinkin bout rowing throught the gears and hearing the sound of a cummins, and rolling coal on unsuspecting ricers, well, my opinion was swayed lol

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Hahaa, one of the funniest things I have ever seen, one day me and my bro. in law were sitting at a red light in his sierra denali.. there was a poser biker in front of us... he put his truck in park, jumped out, ran and slapped the guy in the back of the head (helmet), then got back in the truck and we proceeded to smoke him! haha such a great moment.

|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Yea that'll be awesome. I'm not sure what we'll do with it down the line. It'll probably sit in our garage for a long time if thats what you mean lol. We were going to leave it in there except for that we found the cracks in one of the cylinders and it costs more to fix than its worth.
|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Cracks in the cylinders? Sh** man itll run better with those. haha throw a BBC in there :metal:
|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
