More progress , I got all the wiring tired up, and the led lights I got for the rear were sticking out to far to get the lens on, so I bent up a box and did a lil filing on the hole , 2 rivets and some silicone and they clear fine !

I've made some more progress , got all the underhood wiring done , even hooked up a underhood light , made a battery tray with hold down, finally got the drip rails on , I'll never take them apart again, I had to grind some off the base so I could get the ss trim on , now onto the interior next !

I had a problem finding LEDs for the rear lights up to now, because they do only light up one way and do not reflect on the reflector. because of that you only get one bright spot in stead of the whole rear lit up.

do you have all LEDs in your rear lights? any pics of all of them installed and pics of them lit up?

(sorry for my english, I am dutch)..

And I had the problem that there is too little difference between BRAKE, FLASHER and NORMAL light at night..

Wow! I think you are on to something there. That looks like it could've been a GM design. Great job!

wat you could do is make sumting youreself using a stock rearlight , dril a ring of holes intoo the reflector big enough to hotgleu a single led inside and solder the lot on the back reflector in such a way it comes out to 12 volts , you can either use a broken bulbfitting and solder the led setup to that so you dont have to break intoo the stock wiring or just solder it straight to the wiring when the ring of leds light up the reflector helps a bit and should give a bigger spot of light , the leds themselves will for surtain outlive the reflectors so it doesnt matter too mush that you cant replace them

thansk man! good idea

I might even consider doing a mod using these led strips in red:

I have been told that white LED behind a red lens dont light up well, so I will go with red LEDs.

Thanks guys , you help keep me motivated ! I got a lil more done on the dash panel, I also made a panel to cover up my air compressor mount and horns after seeing the pic of the taillights on, I really noticed that area needed tuned up,fixed it right up, next I got the washer squiters in so I went to put them on but the cowl hood doesnt have the vents for them to exit so I used an old 1 and made a extension, they exit though 1 of the holes in the cowl of the hood ,I'll clean/paint them up and install tomorrow ,

I've been turning new knobs for everything , lights, wipers, turn and tilt levers ... and the heater controls , I had a rough time getting the knobs off the new heater control ,finally ended up cutting them off ,I'll take more pics of them as I get them mounted on ,

Re: 77 yellow gmc swb

i think twist style knobs would look better on the truck not sure if they make sumting that would work on the truck setup though
i used to have a opel astra in europe the knobs on that where cable operated and where backlight http://fotos.marktplaats.com/kopen/3...tFKhXTHA==.jpg
pulling the middle knob activates the rearscreen heater the 2 push buttons at the bottom are for airco and closing the outside vent (when driving behind a stinking dieseltruck )
its all build together on a plastic frame
