Looks like I'm doing this same thing on mine .....

On the second pic, where it appears to be some sort of sealer, is exactly where mine is rotted, allowing water to run inside.

Is that something you did after the repair, or stock ??

No we didn't.. Thought long and hard about it,even flipped a coin and still didn't...

Thanks Keith...It really is coming out nice.. Me and brother in law "Dino" just stood there and stared at it without words..So glad we're keeping America beautiful by putting these old cars and trucks back on the road:metal:
