Yeah I seen that on C.L. the other day. Look at the other pictures. Twin? Not so much. Perhaps a distant cousin.;)

Re: Project Sketchy Deal

Well I was holding off on installing my exhaust until I got all the leaks stopped. Took the truck to Olathe to have the transmission rebuilt Thursday and got it back today. Another 900 duckies in Sketchy.I think my only leak left is the power steering gear box. A board member is helping me out on that. So I got the new exhaust on this afternoon!!! It sounds a lot better.

Re: Project Sketchy Deal

Good deal man! Are you planning on taking it to the Nats this year?

kingsolver72 05-28-2013 11:29 PM

Re: Project Sketchy Deal

If I still have the truck I will take it to the NATS. Are you going?

I pull the differential cover to day and installed a new gasket and gear oil.
Only leak left to fix is the seal in the power steering gearbox.

Well I finally found time to install the power steering gear last night. This morning while it was still cool I installed new front wheel bearing, sleeves and seals. Rotated the tires also.

Cool deal! I can't wait to see you and the truck this weekend!

Re: Project Sketchy Deal

Well the truck is up for sale again. If I can't get my asking price I may do an engine swap. Been thinking about a 5.3. Really not sure what direction to go. Possibly bag it too.

Re: Project Sketchy Deal

There is no longer a project sketchy deal. And I no longer own a truck. It has been many years that I have not had a 67-72 chevy truck. I know that I will miss PSD. I already do.

Re: Project Sketchy Deal

Sorry to see it go too, but you have to do what you have to do. Do you have plans for another truck now that psd is gone?

Re: Project Sketchy Deal

Thanks guys. I traded PSD for a 2000 flhpi roadking. Get this...it has flames. My wife has been wanting a motorcycle since I met her 5 years ago. So the bike is titled in her name. It's her bike...I hope to teach her to ride on her own. We've ridden with my son a couple of times. He had at the time a 2nd bike. I most definitely want another old truck. The newer ones are not for me. I think I would like to get a plain Jane lwb 62-72 chevy truck. No flames, factory color, factory height.
I will post some pictures later.
It is a hard time every time I sell an old truck. I have no truck and that sucks, but my wife is happy and that makes it worth it.
