Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build

From my understanding they are based on Cadillac and had hardware issues and not adjusting probably. This guy build trucks has friends that builds trucks and now working at Cadillac dealer. I trust them when it comes to this. I had him check my work to make sure my old school methods still right.

New zinc plated Moroso pan. After fighting hex head bolts for pan clearance, I got ARP 12-point heads. Hopefully this takes care of oil leak. Stupid chrome pan!

LV, good luck with the PB install. I am curious to see how much lower you will be verses the torsion bars cranked down. Your truck is a model for a lot of things I would like to do on my 62, so I'll be checking in. Good luck!!

Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build

Monte, I don't have drop spindles. That might flatten the arms for alignment though. With the 225 / 70 / 15 there is only 3" till it hits. So I have to see if I really want to cut fenders.
The majority of pictures are the 235/60/15, the new tires were to get to a show I didn't make.

Freaky, Funky, Funday!
Going to have to get a Beer assistant for this round of mods!

Monte's62 12-20-2014 08:54 PM

Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build

Can't wait. Looking forward to these changes, especially the front wheels, and a beer assistant is always a good idea.

Final count down. Some before measurements. Low is judged by stock '97 on 31s. PB says ride height is best at 5" at cab mount...-4". Bumper is 1/4" lower.
