It's because u change ur pinion angle when u adjust the height. I know it's not fun but driving at stock ride height will save them. Personally for 28 bucks is jus keep changing em lol

I recall there being a more "heavy duty" style one but I forgot what brand?
I agree with Downlow....I'd keep changing them too. Haha!

This is the one I have. this style supposed to be for the heavy duty trucks now this too is for the 60-66 idk about newer models but it would be very easy to mount. All you need is two holes and two 1/2 inch bolts with lock nuts. Jus an idea and they cost $24.99 at autozone!
Part Number: HB206FF
Warranty: 1 YR

Re: 1970 project/ DD "instant death"

The torn up one in the picture has actually lasted me the longest. I broke it 2 days after installing. Had a three year warranty so kept taking it back in and worked fine. After it broke so quick I reinforced it with some steel and it workes awesome. But I possibly didn't tighten the bolts to well so when I saw that it had broken I drove home, upon pulling in my drive way the sidewalk decided I didn't want to pass go lol which is why it looks so mangled.

But that heavy duty one looks like it would be ideal for this type of application. I've also been told this have much more flex alowing it to last longer.

Thanks for input fellas!
The part number will be majorly helpful!

I know what you mean....I did that with my last truck setup and I thought the truck completely broke off. HAHA.
Not a problem amigo! Although, Downlow linked both of us to what I was referring to. So thank you Downlow!

Ill give a try as soon as possible. When I move the carrier bearing to straighten the drive shafts out to ride height I will make a new bracket for the heavy duty style carrier bearing

Still no updates but I have been having some c10 action

Rebadging a 62 c10 short bed. Before starting the bags were mounted offset on a triangulated 4 link tearing up bushings, not to mention all the buger welds.
