Nice rims Zigy, what size are they and what tire size are you running. I noticed your dash has an insert that doesn't look stock, do you know where it is from, who makes it.

New member. Bought this 82 2wd from a guy down the block a few months ago who was letting it go to seed. Plan on fixing it up, using it to haul motorcycles to rallies, and then give it to my grandson (who is three, so I will have lots of time to get her looking good). My mechanical aptitude is mostly limited to motorcycles, but these seem pretty simple to work on.

It has a 350 crate motor, Edelbrock 600 cfm 4 bbl, Headman headers, sm465 with bad synchros and a worn input shaft bearing, and Mickey Thompson 33X 12.5 15 tires (which will be replaced shortly with 235/75 R 15 Goodyear Wranglers.) There is a very mild lift kit installed which I will eventually remove.

My wife hates it, the neighbors laugh at it, and I love to drive it!

Thank you for your kind words :)
The rims are 18" moto metal wheels with 33" nokian tires.
The dash pad is new and I got the insert your asking about from LMC truck.
I hope that helps

Out for a photo shoot the other day around the Comox area. Fresh wash and tire-shine. I just put Edelbrock Elite Series Valve Covers and an Air Cleaner on it, as well as an EGR Delete. She's freshly out of the shop with new Control Arm Bushings and Brakes. Riding like she's new!

Hey yall im new to this forum so just thought I post a picture of my current project. 1977 Chevy K20 3/4 Ton Scottsdale, just bought it yesterday the story behind it was back in 2003 it was parked and abandoned and the guy who owns the area found it and needed to sell it. the things that are wrong are: Has no battery, needs body reconditioning, needs just a general all around tune up, fluid flushed and what not. Picked it up for 1k

Ok, strange question... How did you attach the new style center caps to an older truck with 9/16" wheel studs?
I have hunted for nuts for both 9/16 and 1/2" with the outer threaded part to use newer wheels and caps with no luck.

New to the forum, but this is my baby. I got a new job and am making some good money so it's finally time to start updating her. Bringing it to the shop to get painted today, I'm going to keep it stock colors everything that's yellow will stay yellow and everything white will stay white, and so on.

Nice you can afford to get started on the truck, bet it is a bit exciting, should turn out nice as factory colors, keep us posted on it. It is a 4wd isn't it.

Yea it's full time 4wd with a rear locker. Has the stock gmc locking differential in the middle also. As for engine and what not the body has 65,000 miles but it has a 383 in it, I don't k kw how many miles are on it.

I'm really excited, I'm pulling the carb today to make some adjustments to the throttle and what not. Last owner made some pretty ghetto fixes to simple solutions

Really nice truck. One of my favorite old colors. Great that you are keeping it stock. Please post pictures as you go.
