Hello Captainfab

Looking for a kit for my 70 C10. Already have power brakes and don't want to redo my lines (again) so I'll take the flat bracket. Looking to use a Howe Racing Hydraulic Bearing which specs a 3/4" master. Thanks

I am interested in purchasing just the clutch items as I have the clutch master already. (linkages, clutch mounting plates) I have a 1970 c10 with a t56 and hydroboost.

Thanks
Matthew

Ive been looking at that VanNatta Fab truck. They have the small master not so far over and slightly higher than the brake master.
Tryin to get some info from them. Did some measuring today, looks like a 1.25 stroke would work if mounted about 2” down from the pedal pivot and it could be a 1:1 link. Just a theory so far but could work in a higher position. Gotta think on it some more.

Figured I would add some photos of the mock-up I just completed. For those considering this kit, I will say it makes life pretty simple..

I started first by simply installing the brackets to get an idea of how it will look, and to ensure I had nothing interfering both inside and outside the firewall.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...79d370_k_d.jpg

Then I marked and drilled the two mounting holes and inserted hardware to just to make sure the hole saw would not move the bracket around while drilling the center hole.

Things look good at this point, now onto adding the master cylinder and linkage

While this was not the final assembly, its obvious how well this went together. Once I get a bit farther in my project, it will all go back in for the final time.

Now understanding no two of these trucks are identical, (and I am a bit anal), I shaved a few thousands off the standoff to provide perfect alignment.

Last step was to ensure the the rod was level, mark the clutch pedal and drill the mounting hole..

Thanks,
Drew

Thanks for posting these pics Drew :)

You must have had this for a little while. The pivot block has been updated a few months back. About how much did you trim off of the standoff? If I know about these things, I can make changes on future orders that are built and shipped out.

Yeah, my poor project has been on the back burner for awhile. Like a couple years..
I ended up taking a 16th of an inch off which was not absolutely necessary but did bring it into perfect alignment.

Thanks again for a nice product.

I really wanna try this in my 78. Can somebody get me a measurement from where the linkage mounts to the pedal to the fire wall. If it’s the same length I will buy one and hopefully it will work

How much for just the master bracket? I already have power brakes.

Captainfab 07-25-2020 12:24 AM

Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

The only other option other than the entire booster bracket, is for deleting the booster mounts from the base plate. That reduces the cost $25.00. I will need to know what you are using for a clutch slave cylinder or hydraulic release bearing as well whether you have a '67-'68 or a '69-'72. They are different.

What is everyone using for a slave on these swaps? Pulling the 465 for a nv4500.
