that gap would have been considered excellent by GM standards. If the gap is even the whole way down (or as close as you can get it), and the body lines line up, you just have to call it done. If you got every gap on these trucks perfect you would spend a solid month just on the panel allignment.

Have you done anything on the shifting linkage of the transmission yet? I'm currently doing the same swap and trying to decide to go with the shifting rods or go to a push-pull cable. Here is how mine is going so far...

Yes our builds are similar in the fact we both used tahoe chassis and running gear! It'd be cool to see yours done someday

These Tahoe chassis work so good

I live in Ak and am staring a swap of our 72’ c-10 to a 07’ Escalade. Would love to talk to you about your project. We are pulling the Escalade body off in the next couple weeks.

I'm going to be using a 2008 Sierra 4x4 , any see any problems with this swap to a K5 Blazer?

Just curious if there's been any further progress/status updates to report? It's been over a year, so I was wondering how it's holding up and riding for you on the newer chassis?
