I sanded and polished 2 of the factory trailblazer wheels, swapped the tires of the runs that came with the trailblazer and mounted them to see if they looked any better than what was already on there. I'm definitely liking the look.

This was definitely the worst rim of the set. Looked like someone took a grinder to it. I ran through 80,180 and 400 grit on the d/a sander before polishing. It turned our a lot better than i expected. Only one more to go.

I stand corrected. This was the worst rim. I'm starting to see why they were painted. No worries. A little patience, some sand paper discs and a little elbow grease and it's like brand new.

Now if i can only figure out what's up with the right turn signal staying on all the time.

Ok, so this just happened. I bought a 79 Wagoneer for parts. All my window mechanisms are junk and the doors have rotted bottoms. Instead of patching and repairing, looking for individual parts and pieces, the plan is to swap all 4 doors. Also it has a power window in the tail gate, 2 hoods and a Bunch of other parts i can either use or sell to recoup some $$$.

I know you’re not too concerned about finish work. But if you wanted, now you could make your wheel openings in the rear exactly like original with a section from the new one

I wasted no time today and swapped the doors. I'm also stealing the sill plates and weather stripping.

All you need is some roof lights and it would be a good looking constable vehicle. ;) Glad you found a very nice parts source.

The plan is to relocate the windshield wiper motor to the roof. I want to extend the roof rack to the top edge of the windshield to hold the wiper motor. Then mount a led light bar to hide the wiper motor.

If for some reason you need some more wiring when you do that. This bravada is still here and getting cut to pieces

Thanks. You think the fuse box under the hood is the same? I think mine is fried, causing all sorts of electrical issues with the turn signals.

V8 are different from v6 and I can’t let go of my other one for the Lincoln. But as long as you find a v8 one it doesn’t matter I think

I've been searching the trailblazer Forums for answers to why my turn signals are shorted. Apparently the fuse and relay block under the hood has been an issue since day one. I've read reports of factory warranty replacements with as few as 1500 miles on a trailblazer. One thread showed a guy disassembling his and repairing a commonly broken feed wire in the fuse block. I brought mine to work and split it open. Needless to say, mines eaten up with corrosion. I went ahead and just ordered a brand new one instead of rolling the dice on a used junk yard piece that's probably in similar condition.
