Thanks Brian, I had a blast and loved the privilege of riding in your sweet truck. Keep me posted on your LS swap.

At least that way you could make a more informed decision. (Remember, I bought 3 sets of wheels before I settled on what I've got, lol....Tryin' to help you avoid trouble, my brother)

I think it'll look really cool with the caps on the blue.

My vote would be to keep the caps original and use a bowtie that's close to the same shade of orangish-red. I'm assuming your going to use a 67/68 grille.

Yes, I will.

I just got done spraying these. Don't know if you can really tell anything. I'd throw it on the burb, but it's a 6 lug wheel. I'm going to hit the photoshop guys up and see if they can work their magic.

Got a little sound deadener/insulation done today on the rear. Not pretty, but it should get the job done. Also I got three gray blankets that I will be using as throw covers on my three bench seats.

Staples, I don't know yet. Probably just pin them on the back. My mother-in-law is a pretty good seamstress.

I need to find someone to do the entire burb in that blue to get the full idea, but here's just the wheels.

Sorry Bryan, not a pro photoshopper. This is a tough one to color change for us amateurs =)

My arm was twisted! Lol I didn't want to sell them but Bryan needed some so I let them go. I get first dibs to get them back if he ever decides to sell them.

By the way I like the idea of painting the caps to match the color scheme and then make them look patina but I my opinion might be bias.

Re: Project Patina Burb

Nope, not yet. We're selling our home so for the past couple of months I've been doing small projects to get it ready. It just went on the market last Monday. I actually worked on the burb a little last week. I laid down the rest of the sound deadener in the front.

Liked southern california so much you're moving out there?

I remember getting a house ready to sell it, man. That seems never ending.

I did like it, but can't afford it out there. I got promoted at work also, so having to adjust to new schedule.

Same area here. Some where in the Robertson/Sumner County area. Cottontown, Cross Plains, etc.

TOTALLY with ya there, brother. I sure do like the house you have now, though. Should be an easy sell.

Re: Project Patina Burb

Got alot more of the wiring done today, thanks to Inherited71. I also mocked up the front and rear seat belts on it. I'm using early 90's Chevrolet fullsize 3 point seat belts. I didn't do the third row ones because I don't have a seat yet. I had some help as usual and the girls were excited to sit in it after I set the seat in to see how the seat belts fit.

Nice work Bryan, sorry I couldnt make it up to help.. I am just so swamped with work right now.

Re: Project Patina Burb

Worked on it a little longer yesterday. Got the doors ready to cut out and have the patches welded in. Also cleaned up my bumper and put on my California tag that the C/10 club gave me while I was at the Brother's show. The bumper has a good patina to it and I went back and forth on spray painting it, but decided to leave it alone.

Headed to the junkyard today to look for a few more seatbelts and some 15 inch steel wheels for it. Might get lucky and find a 3rd row seat.

Re: Project Patina Burb

Picked up some steel wheels at the junkyard on Monday. Couldn't beat $6.49 a wheel.

Found a local place to have them blasted and powdercoated for $65 a wheel. Still wavering on a color.

http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps20c2eeac.jpg

Got both doors cut out and ready for the patches.

I'm using the early 90's truck ones. The mount sits higher on the inside. I've got some tubing that I'm using to flatten them out and reinforcing them also. I'll take a pic this weekend and show you.

Re: Project Patina Burb

I was trying to get my mud work done this weekend since I was off, but all of my local buddies were out of town for Labor Day. Spent a few hours on the burb anyway yesterday. Got the Lokar shift linkage adapter installed and measured and drilled for the 67 mirror and round mirror heads. Also, I bought a ceiling console from pullapart out of a late model S10 Blazer. I got it mounted, but not sure how to get it wired yet.

Sorry for the crappy pics
