Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
Forgot this was a super it did come with A Black pad and carpet and column
|
Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
Id guess black….
I don’t have a super but I’ve had two Cheyennes. My K20 has a olive interior with black vents, and I had a hugger/parchment C10 with orange vents. Probably don’t help much but I’ve always wondered if the vent color varied some by plant. |
Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
On my 72 Super, still all original, they're body color.
Edit: White/Dark Olive/White exterior, Olive interior. |
Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
My 72 super ochre/white with parchment interior has black AC vents.

Eric, here is a photo of my old '72 Super big block survivor. This was a documented 50,000 mile truck and I'm quite confident nothing in the interior had been swapped over the years. Notice my vent housings are black.

Thanks guys
I think it probably did vary by plant And maybe even what they had on the shelf at the plant I decided to go black Just think it is the best look - I like to put the trucks back according to spid Which is parchment I’ve got both parchment interior as well as black When I see all that black so far It almost makes me want to go all black I doubt I’ll do it But what are your Thoughts?? |

No rust, everything works But It’s been ‘modified’ in a Big way Was Originally 1/2 ton automatic At some point someone went through a lot of work And made it 3/4 ton 4spd That’s another quandary It’s still got CHEYENNE10 badges on it Should they be 20’s ? |
Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
I like black and CHEYENNE 20 badges- just my opinion. Whatever you do will look good
|
Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
I think parchment interior would look perfect
|
Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
I, too, like parchment. There's one exception, though, Eric: how are you planning to use this truck? I had to be somewhat careful with the parchment seat on my '71 Custom Deluxe. Not a big deal, because I didn't work with it, but it may come into play if you're ever dirty around these old Chevy pickups.

The Arkansas K10 Cheyenne I'm building has saddle dash pad and column with body color vents. Built in Fremont.

Little super white SEM to fog in the discoloration On the door panels - The truck had an aftermarket bezel As always, I go backwards And put on old parts Trying to match 50 year old tired wood grain paint Isn’t easy |
Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’
Looking good! I vote for parchment and Cheyenne 20’s… though not correct, lots easier than 1/2 ton axles to match the Cheyenne 10’s!

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

One I let go. Fremont built parchment interior all original for reference.
George Strait song comes to mind. "I'd like to have that one back" teardrop |

I just put some 245-60-15 on the front of my '68. Had to take my hat off too avoid sweating on it.
