Adam told me $880 for a set of 20's and $980 if I wanted them powdercoated white, which I do. Shipping isn't $320!! Hey, that's capitalism and if he gets it, good for him.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of that look Just me, just my opinion.

LOL! I agree, I much prefer the looks of the Blonde.

Just can't get into these wheels! But, that's another one of those things you like...or, you don't!!:lol::lol:

I really think it's the caps. I think if you were to do what Delmo did with the old dog dish caps I think it would look good. I'd like to see someone do that or at least photoshop it.

Here is my ride a 67 stepper bagged and bodydropped on 22x9 smoothies with 265/35/22 all around. I am wanting to go with some 20 in mobsteels in off white with caps and skinny whitewalls. I want a tire and wheel combo thats a little smaller so I can cruise a little lower without having to air up all the way maxxed out so I can turn without scrubbing any suggestions on tires and backspacing would be appreciated. 22x9 with 5.5 bs and +12 mm offset is what I have now if that helps was thinking of running 265/35/20 and dropping the overall diameter 2 inches from 29.3 to 27.3. Let me know if I am going in the right direction and your opinions are appreciated.

I have been talking with Pam over at mobsteel via email and it turns out that they now stamp their wheels in 6x5.5! I'm trying to get some information on a potential 22. Fingers crossed...

Last time I checked with Adam he told me it would be late this summer before the 22s will be ready.

Really? That's not that bad, for me anyway. I can wait 4-5 months considering I have my 64 in pieces.

Is it just me or does the diameter of the back of the wheel look smaller than the front? Is this just an optical illusion?

Looks pretty close to being a roller HAHA! You thinking maybe this summer to have it on the road?:lol::four::hot::two::ele:

Mine has been in the garage about 4 months longer than I expected and its still gonna be in there for a while! LOL

I highly doubt it. My plan is to have it road worthy by late fall. I just placed an order with porterbuilt and they now have a 6 week build time. I'm getting married in September so that's going to slow my progress as well. I'll get a build thread put together once I gather some more parts.

Will factory dog dish caps work with these wheels or would I have to install some clips?

You'll need to drill and tap for clips. That's what I plan to do. Just trying to decide on which caps to use.

Ok sounds good. I figured I would need the clips but just wanted to make sure. I plan on installing the original factory caps.

Drilled and tapped the smoothies for some old 6 lug center caps yesterday I think some color on the faces of the wheels with polished lips will finish off the look. All the chrome in my opinion is too much bling for me. I am thinking maybe off white.

Here is a photoshop with a beige off white color let me know what u guys think. IMO i think it completes the look and goes with the truck better than the bling. I may even go a little darker with the color to kinda match the lettering on the doors.

Re: 18" and 20" steel wheels?

They are tight up front I am running tubular upper and lower arms with bags from airbagit.com no inner fender wells and no hood hinges the hood is pinned. The body has been dropped so the firewall is slanted back from pretty much the master cylinder down in the rear the bags are pretty much in place of the coil springs and the floor raised and the bed dropped the wheels are 22x9 with 5.5in bs and they come very close to the fender. I cut out the part where the spare goes and made a sheet metal part thats like a fender for the tire to go up into and covered it with a jack daniels sign.
