Just got done reading this little bit of slice of heaven. I don't know how I would classify this one but there were some really cool bits in here that I think we all could apply to our trucks. Keep on keeping on.

Been sick this past weekend so I decided to do some digging found this one for all you cats out there. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=536540

This is a really neat build. I'm not much a 4x4 person but I like them when they are sensible and aren't meant to be show queens or just toys. This truck is one of those that you spend time reading and looking at the pics you realize how neat it is. It's a pretty good budget build really. It isn't everybody cup of tea but like a lot of trucks this one is part of the owner. I hope you'll take the time to read through his build.

Your welcome. Glad to be able to add builds like yours for all to read on a broader spectrum. So many times there are so many great builds going on that we don't get a chance to admire the work and skill. We often if you are like me get caught up in one section of the forum and forget there's a lot more to this forum. Thanks again.!

Well you I didn't read the 6 pages before this but you could add my "Project lowbuget" to your list there's a link in my sig. I tried to keep as much notes as I could and on occation I still answer so questions about it...

and just for the record in the last week I have sold my truck to a young kid who plans on taking it to the next level.... good for him..and me since I havn't had time to drive it at all and that's not good for it..

This turning out to be a cool build. This is for the 60-66 crowd. I do have a soft spot for these trucks.....but I'd be glad to see more trucks from the S10 crowd and other years as well. Thanks for looking in.

It may be just me, but it'd be nice if you put the username and year/make/model. I like to know what I'm getting into before I click on it, especially if I've seen it before.

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH

I used to do that actually. And I've just been lazy really. For me if it's a good build, it doesn't really matter if it's an S10 or AD pickup. But I will try and at least give a small description. When I look for these builds I have to go through other builds and spend time searching through the user and signatures just to find them often times. Luckly sometimes an avatar will give hints or somebody will post something in a build that will give me clues to those builds. I don't always know what kind of truck they are building or if it is in my criteria really before I click. Sometimes the builds are dead or non active and that can be a turn off for some. But then there will be one build that seems dead comes back to life. Generally I'm looking for owner built, simple but honest builds. Cost has some to do with it and other things I'm finicky about. More personal than general. Sometimes other board members will post up builds too. I keep hoping more will do so. Thanks for the advice and I will do better. Also thanks for looking in. It's really time consuming to find these builds. They're not as easy to find as one might think. Using the search function on here and like many other builds is sort of elusive really. Hit or miss. Thanks once again!

Found this one tonite. It is a '60-'66 C30. Pretty neat truck and lots of things to think about. It's a truck and I think it is really cool.

I have to say I am really curious how this build will continue. It is new and will it be low buck or not? Well probably not so much low buck as innovative. It's going to be a daily driver and that counts super big with me. It is for the '60-'66 crowd. I must say if you own a '60-'66 truck there are constantly new builds being added each day it seems. If you are stuck in a rut or just need a little pep in your step you should head on over and see what these guys are cooking up. So many cool trucks. It will be worth your time. Each build is unique and different. Godspeed.

Found this gem today. It is a '52 and it is called Project Orange peel. The fabrication on this project is super cool. Really worth your time to take a look. I can't say it's totally lowbuck but the ideas and work is. There's tons of stuff here to learn from.

One thing I can say about this site is the amount of guys and gals who can and do fabricate some amazing stuff. Their out of the box thinking and ability to make things happen. I'm really impressed. I can't wait to find more. Each little build is a gem.
