Thanks for all of the compliments! I have read all the builds of u guys and they have blown me way. I am striving to do work at the level of u guys. I just want to say how much. Tootsie has blown me away! We plan on making our own wood bed kit with a factory set of 67 inner fenders just another way to throw everyone off! Lol

Hay guys. I've spent half a day stripping half the frame of the tar like substance. Does anyone no of a good way of doing it? Or is a wire wheel and supper clean about the norm?

What did you paint frame with?

Re: Wild C10 project

Fantastic work so far! Have you considered keeping the later inner structure and then skinning the fenders to match the doors? It'd make a lot of stuff simpler. The fender tops have a similar roll to the 67, you could "top skin" the hood so to say, then run free on the grille area, just extend the 67 lines through the grille bars to mate up at the ends. It'd help a lot at the core support, too, to have factory pickups to jump off from. Just a thought, I'm in to see where this goes!

Re: Wild C10 project

The paint is just a basic chassis black. I will paint it with a single stage hot rod black when all the Suspension is finished. Main thing right now is to get it covered so it dosent rust

Re: Wild C10 project

As far as the fenders go. We r gana use the 67 front clip. I am gana graft the top and bottom of the fender were it meets the rocker and the cowl.door area. As far as the hood and 67 cowl I'm just gana have to a just as I go. Lol I am gana use the factory 67 core support and I may have to spread it an inch or two then add a little metal to the sides. I want to make the hood and cowl one peace. The hood will flip forward when we r all done so I don't have to take that into considerationon the movement of the hood. The only other thing that may be an issue is the taillight area. But that's a few days down the road! Kol
