Crappy picture, but my old 1965 Pontiac Catalina. When it was my friends mom's, we put in a 400 from a 67 GTO and added the 6 packs from a 65 389.

The red one is a 66 Impala. Nothing special, 283, powerglide

I had both of these in 74/75 down hereon the MS gulf coast when I was in training for the Air Force. The Pontiac was a PA car and it fell apart from the rust on the frame. The Impala I sold to a friend because I need money. Miss them both.

My '71 Pontiac Bonneville. Good old car that I wish I still had.

I had a '72 Catalina in HS that looked like that, but blue with a black vinyl top. That was a great cruiser, 400 2 bbl and a plush interior.

Also had '66 Impala like that but a convertible. Frame rusted out under the driver's door and the left front wheel bearing went out and the wheel came off. I paid $125 for it at the beginning of summer and when the wheel fell of in the fall, sold it for $50

This sweet 1960 Pontiac 2 door HT was on Phoenix Craigslist a couple days ago and sold the day after I saw it. Lucky buyer! Only one picture but appeared to be original in all respects.

I used to read the meters at a small apartment building in a bad part of town and there was a Hurst 300 sitting in the back parking lot. I knew what it was and wanted to ask if it was for sale since it seemed to just be sitting there. No garage or cover. It was just parked in a parking spot. It was in pretty good shape. But I could never get a hold of anyone that knew anything about it. Now I think that I should have tried harder.

That first Buick camper conversion was made by the same company that made the Huntsman I had on my '71 Custom Camper, same graphics, etc. I can't read what that one is called, top front center

I always likes the styling of the '60 Fords. The Falcon and T-Bird all had similar styling that year

So, it's 1985 and I am 16 years old. A Plymouth Fury III convertible similar to this one was for sale in a local town for $600. I tried my best to get a few of my buddies to pool our money and buy the thing for a Florida road trip. Told them we could throw a few clothes and a few tools in the trunk and have a glorious time. They had no vision or sense of adventure........

No offense taken and as much as it might surprise you to know how a hillbilly, teenage kid talked I can almost guarantee that was my exact description. I'm sure we were all drinking when the idea came to my head. We were a pretty large but tight group from a small town. In the summer of 1988 we even shot a movie. Western, about 1.5 hours long, with commercial break. Yep, we drank a lot back then. I was the "smart" one and the only one to go on to college.

Also the reason I told my kids if they got an idea for an adventure and none of their buddies wanted to go, just go anyway. I let not wanting to go alone cheat me out of that trip and one east coast trip from Maine to Key West on motorcycles.

Buddy of mine had a 64 Chevelle that I would also think qualifies as a boat but man did that car ride well!

Thay looked fast just sitting still, very aerodynamic body style, one of my favorites also.

My wife had a 76 Monte Carlo. Solid black with no vinyl roof. and it had swivel seats. It was special ordered that way. She sure would like to get it back. They sold it when daddy bought her a new Cobra. So I look for it, but I doubt that I'll ever find it.

I took my drivers test in a '71 Fury III. if you can parallel park one of those you can park about anything.

I could never get friends to get up and go anywhere, it seemed. Tried planning camping trips a week ahead, "Talk to me Friday when I know what's going on", they'd say. "Going camping is what's going on!!". Wouldn't want to make them miss a party, so I'd go alone. Once out at the park I'd meet people and make new friends. People who liked to get of their arse and go camping. I traveled around the country solo and met wonderful people everywhere I went. Didn't have to split any decisions, just do it!

I think the '60 was the only decent looking Edsel. I meant to say '60 Fords in my post above. I am stuck on '61s for other cars, like the Pontiac Ventura
