There are two different versions of the new Custom 69 Chevy Stepside. Basically different wheels. One is a regular Treasure Hunt and the other is Super Treasure Hunt. The bottom one, with the different wheels also looks a little different in color. Also looks glossier(is that a word?).

90\87Formula, The glossy one is a "Super Treasure Hunt" It has what hot wheels calls Spectra Flame paint and real rider tires. (rubber) The other is just a "Treasure Hunt" witch has just regular paint and plastic wheels.

Here are more pictures for Andy4639...

Where do I look for those stamped 1/16 (KJ?) trucks?I bought the 4-set of the blue plant trucks several years ago and never saw them anywhere else.

Why would they offer these together?Seems odd to me.It makes the cost high, but attractions two types of collectors.Well, three, the third being one who wants any rarer ones. But,either one sold seperately may have brought him more combined.I know I could sell the Ferrari and recoup cost on truck.Just seemed odd.

I've only seen one on ebay occasionally. Never as a set. Other than in collections here, I've never seen them elsewhere.

I think that they do that to make the person buying think that they are getting a better deal by buying 2 different T-hunts at the same time. WES

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Well I got one, even though it's not in the box and is missing the tailgate I won it and I'm happy too! Less than $40.00. I will have to get a tailgate for it maybe.

Look on the tailgate, it says Chevrolet. I think this is the same truck that you can get with a NAPA logo. I haven't seen one of those for sale yet though. I occasionally see the Bell one, which is how I got mine a while back.

I did win the black/green/white 20 TIS truck yesterday. I saw that Andy had bid, but it was real early, so I just set my max and left it, never really thinking that I'd get it. No one else bid, go figure. Sorry Andy.

The stores I've been to are carrying the other 20 TIS truck. I could have bought 3 or 4 more today, but I've already got my other extras listed on ebay.

There was a thread here about using a 1/24 model body on a Xmods chassis for remote control. I was looking at a similar sized R/C truck on the clearance rack today and wondering if a model or die cast body could be made to fit that. They're cheap and already set up to go.

OFF TOPIC (sort of)
Now my other die cast collection is the Cars movie characters. They just came out with a bunch of new ones, just when I figured they were done. There must be about 20+ new ones and most are selling for rediculous money on ebay. Like $20+ each for several (the ones I don't have). A lesson learned is that if you have patience, they will be on the shelves eventually and the ones you can't find will have a much lower price after the new thrill is gone. I have about 12 of the new set so far and probably about 50 all together. I need to make something to display them, but need to wait and see how many they actually end up making.

Classic Heartbeat 10-04-2007 12:39 PM

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Ya, I had the TIS with green stripe in my e-snipe to go off because I have 3 freinds that want one, but I recognized your handle and removed it. I figured I had already beat you out of one...lol Just kidding.. I did email the guy selling them on ebay and am getting his last one.

I don't have the GMC one here yet, but I will check it when it arrives.

What new Pixar Cars are out? I thought that my wife had them all. She has probably 40 or so. WES

Re: Die-cast 67-72

The best way to see which pixar cars is just a search on ebay. Heres a short list: Cactus McQueen, Bug Mounth McQueen, Tongue McQueen, a blimp, Ghostlight Ramone, Bob Cutless, Earnhardt Jr, a ferrari, #64 race car, Darrel Cartrip, Mia & Tia, Mrs. King, the Hummer, Mario Andretti and there are more coming.
