Really nice truck. One of my favorite old colors. Great that you are keeping it stock. Please post pictures as you go.

Yea I definitely will, I'm hoping to have most of the body work done by the end of this summer, in all honesty I want to have it all done by the end of this summer but we will see how that goes.

I'm going to try and clean the motor as good as I can without pulling the motor out of the truck, I haven't really cleaned a carb engine before so let's see how good this turns out lol.

I really like the rins lol, I've got a friend with an orange 70 High Boy and some crazy blue rims like that.

What's it running? I'm guessing just the stock 350 but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I just got mine a couple months ago. 79k original miles. I didn't believe at first either. But after I inspected the truck with a microscope, there are some things ya just can't hide. Good barn find. Did I read that right, you have a 454 in there?? I still got the orig. 305, in process of doing a minor rebuild. Was gonna throw in a 350, but don't need just yet. Maybe down the road.

86 chevy k30 silverado package, I tried to buy this truck from where my buddy works, has a 454 turbo 400. Last time I was there they told me bring 2000$ cash and its yours...got the money, my buddy called me and said sorry they are converting it to a flat bed:smoke: Well 6 months later its still sitting in the same spot rotting away with the windows down....shame only thing wrong with it is the carb is tuned for 9000 ft elevation. They are at 8500 ft.

Just found some old pics of my first real truck, not the best quality but anyway ...
1979 GMC k30 Sierra, Built 350 roller engine, TH400 ,NP 203 with part time conversion, 10 bolt, 14 bolt. 6'' lift with the old style 36x12.5-16.5 Goodyear wranglers. Gas was less than $1 a gallon when I ran this thing just out of high school and it went everywhere. I sure miss this thing...

my 82 is finally out of the body/paint shop (they did a great job) and I'm in the process of installing 1980 (or so) buckets. I've got new vinyl upholstery to go on and bed liner to get sprayed in and that should almost wrap it up. looking forward to it.
