i custom made my own TIMBREN bump stop mount kit saturday and installed the used bump mounts i got off ebay for 55 bucks shipped . they were just over 1 year old .
then today sunday i slid the bri-mar 8ft dump bed insert in and bolted it down and hooked up the power . now i just need some 2ft tall side's and header and off to the county compost site for free tree chippings from the tub grinder that eats all the tree's and branches they get in . i have been spreading it all out out back to fill in under the pine tree's and dead space i dont want to mow lawn . i think the old k30 is ready for some real work . |

Re: budget beater c10 to k30 swap over build.
thanks . and no problem on the real world feedback . this is how we group of people stay informed and away from a product that don't work as advertised . or if the product is good we know its worth the buy .
the old girl is doing good these days . when i go in to town i grab atleast a truck load of mulch if not the trailer also if i remember to take it . with the timbren bump stops she is riding great down the road . |

Truck is still going every day strong.
Few changes in the works . Got new stock front leads but hd option 4 leaf for the snow plow . Then rear gets the stock hangers back and the flip kit off . She is going down to about stock level now . Got some extra 88-98 8 lug trims and caps and painted the rim's white . Then mounted some 265/75/16 lr-E Bridgestone blizzack snow tires . Next was time to get the BIG BOY snow plow back in action again. So the 9ft FISHER was dug out . Blown apart . Old skin cut off . Blasted . New 3/16 thick skin welded on . Re-blasted to get rid of mill scale and get the paint a place to bit on . Today was yellow paint day . Next is black parts and assembly the plow and new pins and rams . Should be good to go this winter if we get real snow . Otherwise it was a fun rebuild and upgrade . |
