When you smoothed the firewall. Is there a void between the sheet metal you used and the firewall? Just curious what you did with the seam on upper part of firewall? What gauge metal you use?

I used some fairly heavy steel, about 1/8" thick so it wouldn't warp all to hell, and cut down on the stone chips.. also the master cylinder is bolted to it. I welded it all along the top edge and from the back side through any hole I could find...hope that helps.

I really like the flat firewall. I can't do it because I will need the heat to work. Your truck looks good!

I had a feeling you were going to do that. I showed the pic to my wife, and I told her that since you live in Canada, you have to have some kind of heat installed in there. :lol:

So which truck are you putting the floor pan in? This one does not look like it needs it! Looks like you are working on a 67, 86, and...???
