Today I started to mount the stainless steel tail light conduit for the wires. Here is a picture of the conduit. I will need a grommet for the conduit to fit in so tomorrow I will try our local parts house. I figured out how to mount the conduit. I had to search the web but, I found a place that shows how to install them. I will post pictures of the install when I am done. Just in case someone out there want to install them. Going to pull the tires off the truck and sand blast the rally's and paint them orange. Also had a visitor today. He was looking for more fish I guess.

Well, today I got one side of the tail light conduit installed. Mounted the conduit to the back of the tail light and then used a line clamp on the back of the back up light to hold the conduit in place. Picture # 3 I then drilled a 1'' hole on the side panel for the wires to go through the panel. I fed the conduit through a rubber grommet through the side panel. Picture # 2 I used a holes clamp to hold it in place under the bed. Picture # 3 This way it can not be seen from the outside. it took me some time but I managed to get one side done. It took me about 2 hours to complete one side.
Tomorrow I will do the other side. Here are some pictures if you guys are thinking about doing the same thing. Classic Parts Of America sells the conduit for 4.49 each. part number is: 49-603. You will need a grommet also. Part number is: 49-711. I didn't order the grommet from classic parts. I used a piece of heater 3/4 heater hose and a 1'' heater hose clamp.. I will apply some seam sealer on the top cap to seal the end so no water can get in the conduit and get to the wires. Picture # 1

Today, I finished the other side tail light conduit. This side only took me 1 hour. I trained myself the first day and so it turned out real nice.

I took the week end off and took the boys to a wild life attraction park and a haunted trail ride. They really enjoyed them selves.

I mounted the washer bottle bracket and ran the water line to the bracket. I now need the bottle to make this job complete. I also took pictures of the brace for the bumper that I did yesterday.

Today, I done something that I was putting off for a long time. Adjusting the valves. I spent about 4 hours leaning over the engine. Every time I figured I had it done, there was a valve I missed. So I had to start over again. So tomorrow I will button the engine back up. All I have to do now is get it running and adjust them as she is running.

Today, I buttoned up the rest of the engine. I still need a wire loom to make the wires look right. Now it looks like a rats nest. I also ran the one wire from the alt to the pass side to connect to the battery. I didn't realize that the wire was for a pass side mount. so I made a junction box and ran a short piece of wire the rest of the way. I not sure if I will leave the junction box where it is. But for now it is ok. I need to give old patches a good bath, maybe tomorrow.
