Went camping. Shock whacked a big rock on a gravel road. Nice fellows in Greenville Maine welded on a new lower shock mount bracket.

Drained all the old watery ethanol gas out of my '69 so I can put ethanol free gas in and put it on the road as my main towing vehicle. C30 killed an injection pump and it's getting a gasoline/automatic conversion, and my '69 burb is the only one I have that has a trailer hitch. Hooning/doing burnouts with my gray '72 since it has a ton of power and it's the 4th of July:

Cleaned and painted head liner panels.The before and after results are quite evident. Dads 1972 Suburban frame off restoration is moving more quickly now after dragging for 3 1/2 years !

I finally found some door panels and have them in. Instead of only door handles, looks much better!

I took it to the Carolinas for the week. Other than the stupid belts, it did good.

I installed a Lokar Transmission kick down switch. Its nice to be able to use ALL the gears!

Over the weekend, I replaced the starter and alternator on my 72. Then my 69, had to replace the battery after it exploded which shorted many things out, I replaced the lead to the alternator from the solenoid behind the battery, replaced the solenoid and several other wires that were burned through.
A very eventful weekend....

Great weekend! I got the new brake system completed and my lady helped me with the ceiling insulation. The brake and fuel plumbing came from Inline Tube and the insulation is from EZ Cool Insulation.

In the 1969 I have, I put in all new weatherstripping around all the doors but the back tailgate.

You have been busy! Between exploding batteries and problems with your 72 you found time to put in new weatherstripping.
Just curious which vendor you chose on the weatherstripping and how the fit was? Thanks in advance. -Brian

the weatherstripping was in the back of the burn when we brought it, I just now got around to installing it though.

I pulled the windshield from my 71 burb. It's currently white, but has been repainted. Why is the w/s frame seal area a blue color? No other sign of anything but white...anywhere. Having fun with my resto process!

I used it!
 

Using the Burb to move firewood over the weekend. Always a good time and the Suburban just takes it in stride.
