I got this one a couple weeks ago. I wanted to find some sport mirrors but after looking at this thread and all the cc's I feel like I should keep the big mirrors maybe. Mine was supposed to have the stainless ones. I think someone switched them at some point.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
I've posted this a bunch here as of late.
My dad sold these and this one we spent all 4 weeks of his vacation in it. That was one of the best summers I ever had as a kid. Blue Ridge parkway out to the outerbanks.;):chevy: http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/...dandCamper.JPG |

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
Howdy everyone,
Sorry... Im not trying to highjack the thread, I just have a quick question about our custom campers. Has anyone tried using the variable HD coil springs instead of the normal HD springs? Thanks |

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
Saw this GMC tonight at a restaurant. I was able to track down the owner in the restaurant (haha, my dad was asking people if they owned the old GMC outside) All original, unrestored, never wrecked, never repainted. He's the second owner, bought it from the original owner, who I believe he was also related to.
It had a little rust, but it was beautiful. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...2CE7FC8908.jpg http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...2CE2CDF676.jpg Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
Old guys with trucks like that should just have a bumper sticker that reads "yes it's mine, and no I do not want to sell it"

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
wow, that is gorgeous, thanks for taking the pics. Everytime I "think" med olive over dark olive, I "think" blech. But every time I "SEE" med olive over dark olive, I want to paint my truck to match it.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
Here is one of my GMC custom camper when my Mom owned it back around '71-'72. It is a 1971 Amerigo and my bed was the one that snapped out in the back. I'll post up some flyer pics too.

Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!
Ok so this wasn't built as a custom camper, but the original owner from NC purchased it to tow his camper with everywhere. It has documentation of having the window replaced in California, and the guy he sold it to drove it up here to NH, so I think it has been put through its paces. Im converting it to 4x4, but leaving the aux gas tanks. It also has a cruise control module on it from a long time ago, pretty cool to see that old technology, and have a truck so well taken care of even traveling around the country.
