Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab

Thanks guys! I picked up a new job at a nursery (plants not babies) and have been working my tail off to save up enough money for some big ticket parts we are starting to need. However, I have gotten a few things done that I haven't posted up. I recently had a birthday and got an awesome new welding helmet (I'm really wanting to start learning how to weld), and a front driveshaft from bluementhals. Also, a few days ago my dad picked up two battery boxes from "ruff stuff" and a couple red top optima batteries. We added a few little touches of our own to the boxes and they mounted right up. I'll try to get some pics up later tonight when I can get on a computer.

Cool, what about the cab though?

Still waiting on it. My dad's buddy has been pretty busy lately so my cab is on the back burner for him. But we have plenty of other things to keep us busy.

Cool. I'll be watching! :metal:

Are you going to trailer the frame to the truck meet???? :D

Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab

I was just gonna gorrilla tape a seat and an ice chest to the frame and drive out there... The trailer is a good idea though.

But hopefully I can talk my dad into letting me. :D

The bumper in the proper orientation, is my vote.

It's one of those things that just makes sense when you see it in person. The lines, upside down, seem to flow better. But we'll have to get the bed together and ponder it more.

Brings to mind the old saying that "to build something up, you first have to tear it down"...

Not sure how anyone could get excited about this build........ ;)

This will be one tuff truck and I'd love to see what you get into that really needs to put that 12k winch to use! :sumo: Sweet build for sure!

It won't get into too much... Probably just pulling my girlfriends '10 F-150 onto a trailer, not if but WHEN it breaks down. :gmc2:
