I will post some this weekend. Headers should be here soon, that will allow progress to start up again.

Talked to guys at vintage air they said Corvette compressor would not work with their system. So up top it is, will be much easier to deal with.

Made some additional bends to the stock corvette power steering hose. I think I can get the hose modified at the 180deg bend and all will be good.

Pressure gauge for fuel line, not sure it will work with engine covers but will be nice to have when I try to start thing thing up.

This build will soon be in it's 4th month, if headers (from DT, thanks Shon) come in this week I can button a lot of things up and get closer to starting this thing. Chasis work is my favorite but I am really looking forward to sand blasting the bed and cab and seeing this thing in mock-up.

Yes, K10143. Requires a new belt, Gates K061005 (101 1/8")

Looking awesome. On your CPP motor mounts, are these the ones that say 67-72? I didn't see any for 63-66 but assume they are the same?

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Yes that's correct

That's cool but those days are long gone here, If you ride around with that in the back window you won't be driving long and you will be on the national evening news. In MD even your water gun must be unloaded and locked seperate from the ammo ( the water )

That sucks, I was wanting to use mine. Not that I NEED AC up here.

Build is looking great. Are you using all braided lines for fuel, or braided to hard lines?

66ChevyMax 01-30-2012 12:01 PM

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

I'm going to start with braided and see how that goes. Some say the shop will always smell like gas if I use braided lines, we shall see.

Well today was a big day, I finally have headers :metal:. Got the Doug Thorley Headers #323Y-C in yesterday and they still hit the CPP perch's  called CPP and emailed them a photo, they said I had the adapter plates that move the motor 3" forward, so they sent me the one that only moved it 1 1/4" forward, all is good, still close but good.

This is how the DT's look next to Sanderson LS10.

sweet! before i scrolled down, i was thinking to myself that those headers look beefy...i've heard lots of good reviews about Sanderson, but those Thorley's look to be really well built as well...they look great, & i'm glad to see everything fits now
