The 72 has just the factory 16's with stock caps on 33's. I had to throw the sled deck in it for a couple months of sledding but it's out now, need some fresh pics. Been thinkin of a 4" lift and some 35's and some chrome 8 spokes.
The 68 shorty I literally bought today. 15" centerlines which I'm going to take off and sell and either throw the ralleys (off the 62) on it to see how they look and see if thats the look I want or, if I can find out what these rims are that caseyg posted up on the artistic pic thread of the sexy red 67 I think I may be leaning to a set of them. Not usually a fan of 6 spoke but I'm really lovin these so if anyone knows the details of these rims????? Then I wouldn't need a 5 lug conversion I guess with either the ralleys or the 6 spokers.

Those are Boyd Coddington "Magneato 6" wheels. I don't think they make them anymore though.

Now this a an excellent example of what a proper set of wheels and tires should look like on a 67-72 Chevy/GMC! Your setup puts all of those 21st century wheel/thin wall tire combos to shame. The rubber to metal ratio here is perfect and I like the color of the wheels and caps. I wish my 8 lugs could accept wheels and caps like that. Great job.

I agree that sicklajoie's set up is beautiful and classic, 1971 3/4.

But put other options to "shame"? I think there's room for all kinds.
And I appreciate almost all of 'em for their differences.

Granted, some set-ups look better than others. But I remember when
I first put my 20's on. Boy, was I happy with the look.

As my brother says, "Everybody takes their coffee different".

What's the BS/offset on your rear wheels? Have you had the bed on it yet? I've got some 18x11 wheels with 6" BS and I put a 285/40/18 on it I believe but I haven't put the bed on yet. I'm worried about either the tires rubbing or they're going to look to small, but I found out about the Nitto 555 after I bought these tires. If you have the bed on it can you take some pictures from the side?

I sanded, paint stripper, wire wheeled, primed and painted the wheels, inside & out. I would have power coated, but there's not shops convienient. I tapped or re- tapped (cleaned the treads) all of the center cap bolt holes. Only 3 of the 5 center cap bolt holes are threaded, so tapped the other 2 for ease of installation. I scrapped off the original Chevy emblems and stripped of all the OEM paint on the center caps. Polished the chrome center caps. Replace the center cap emblem with some New OEM emblems I found on this site. I purchased some stainless steel wide shoulder button head allen screws to attach the center cap. Installed new ~1.75 Pollished SS beauty rims. Went with 1.75 because the fronts are only 6.5 wide. Considering going with some 2.5-3" on the rear. Finished off the look with crome Gorilla Locking lugs.

Probably the worst place to take a picture, in a dark garage. I couldn't wait any longer to put a wheel on with this cold weather and all. They are 20x8.5 Boss 313's. They were very budget friendly on craigslist. They came with tires and a good size that would fit (275/45/20) and that are brand new. I couldn't pass it up, and like the design of the rim. The chrome was pitted pretty bad. I sprayed them with plasti-dip and a gloss clearcoat. I never thought I would resort to that, but it covered up really well.

Tommy,
What is the widest 17" ridler 645 you have? 17" x 9.5"? can you post a picture of a set of these or at least one with a tire mounted on it?
Thanks!

In 17" all they do is 17X7 and 17X8 , unfortunately no on the pictures, everyone I have sold to is in the middle of the projects.

Finished installing the right lug nuts and rally caps for my new wheels. The rear trim rings are still not right, though. I am getting some aluminum ones to install to match the fronts.
