Been neglecting to post my projects these past few years but figured I would share my latest build I started back in November 2016.

It will probably take me a week or so to get you all caught up with pictures so please be patient and feel free to comment. I look forward to everyone's feedback good or bad.

Re: 69 Olive Verde
Looks like you're going to have a G-Ten. Look forward to seeing the rest of the build.

Started with body work to see what I was working with. Cab rust repairs were good but the rest of the body work was not. Blasted truck then swapped on better doors and began metal work and body work while aligning panels. At this point I gave up on the passenger fender and bedside.

Got first layer of high build primer and blocking. Found hood to be a lost cause and wheel wells and bed floor were solid but tons of small dings. Sold off those parts since this needs to be nothing short of exceptional quality and went for more New parts.

Pulled the 90s vortec motor out to work on firewall. Then got bored and decided to build a cart and pull the cab to start fitting the new motor.

Re: 69 Olive Verde
At this point in the build I had boxes showing up daily and piling up quick.

Re: 69 Olive Verde
Should be nice once you get it together.
Good luck, Rg |

Ls1 test fit with hotrod rear sump oil pan and pick ups. Ended up making a new trans xmember to improve drive line angle. Built a custom ac mount to keep the large sanden vintage air compressor down low. Ordered custom drive shaft and began firewall true clean up. Should look much better than stock. Will be running slosh tubz and PB hood hinges to keep a clean engine bay.

Re: 69 Olive Verde
Good Job!
I believe putting a Pontaiane in a Chevy pickup has been done before...LOL :D |
Re: 69 Olive Verde
Looking good. I'm sure you already know but the directions for installing the PB hood hinges uses the factory wire gutter on the firewall to locate the template. Since you have removed it, it will make it a little more difficult to locate the hinge boxes but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
I'm looking forward to following along with your build! |

Moved on to the exhaust making due with what I had laying around. Also ordered a few sets of wheels to see what direction I wanted to go then I stripped the finish on them and made them more to my liking. I moved on to pulling everything apart and tried por15 coating. Didn't like the out come, it seemed easy to apply but had to keep doing touch ups hours later and sheen would never even out once cured. I'm not saying it's a bad product, I just quickly realized I had unreal expectations of the product. So off to blasting and powder coating. Could not be more pleased with this decision.

Wheels done turned out pretty good I think. Frame powder coated gun metal gloss and starting to go back together. Invested in some better brakes after rear end rebuilt.

Mounted Boyd tank using their mounting kit from AZ Performance with in tank pump. Great products. Installed custom made drive shaft. And custom exhaust which I will share more pictures of later along with custom fuel and brake lines.

AZ Performance ls fuel line kit. Excellent company to deal with. Worth every penny. My exhaust made from scrap exhaust I had laying around and coated with bbq grill paint from Lowe's. (Note if you do the bbq paint, allow for multiple coats and 24 hr cure and will still scuff matte sheen easy until it's baked).

Some boring brake line pictures. I am very pleased with the setup and copper contrast. Made some simple brackets for the manual proportion valve and all the hard line to braided line connections. I will be running braided lines to the brake booster.
