the panelburb getting cut up

I will be cutting this one up pretty soon. I suspect there is a lot of bondo bc there is a lot of rust in this thing so I will have to check it out as we go. Cuts will start at $25 plus shipping and go from there. I have already gutted most of this but let me know what else you might need and I will see if I can help out. The front 3 doors have some rust in them but does not appear to be too terrible. The barn doors are shot and the lock pawl is already gone. I believe the front doors are 67 model (at least the wing windows)

Would like to keep the hinges with the 3rd door for now.

All of the glass was custom tinted (inside the glass) it is not removable but several of them are broken.

Would like to sell the frame as one if possible. It has 6 lug front disc brake conversion, set up for automatic & BB and I "think" it has a posi 6 lug rear. Still need to pull cover on that to verify. No title or vin available for the frame.

B pillar is SOLD

I have not pulled the headliner or bows yet so will wait to list them until I can determine condition of them. It looks like original headliner panels that have been covered over with fabric

If you cut the pass. Side B piller out? How much for that? How much for third door complete with hinges?

If for some reason Clayton passes on this, I’d be interested next. Well just the b-pillar

B pillar is $150 plus shipping I can cut where ever you need

3rd door minus door panel but including hinges $160 plus shipping

Probably cost more to ship on this than what it would cost you to make a trip down

I could leave the door attached to the B pillar so your gaps are already set

Got a chance to look closer today. The B pillar looks to be in great shape. The only spot I have not checked yet is underneath. Will try to get something out there in the morning to lay on, had a lot of rain.

The 3rd door has some body filler in the lower section of the outside panel. Lot of surface rust along the bottom perimeter but the only hole is on the inside edge of the door closest to the lower hinge. It looks like it started as a drilled hole but has gotten away from that. It has a speaker hole cut as well. Two of the pics are looking at the inside bottom of the door. You can see a lot of surface rust but I do not see anything major. That may change with a blaster so I will let you decide

Speaking of blaster..... While out there I thought I was losing my mind but it sounded like a shotgun went off and I got hit in the back with something. I looked around and did not see anything at 1st. I was looking for somebody not something. This is what I found. This is the rolling frame from the burb I got from you. Any warranty on them tires?:lol: Luckily I have a spare

Richard, any chance of getting a foam sound deadener from one of the roof supports? I have either tossed mine, or misplaced them. Trevor

Man Richard that tire is crazy.. and to think I drove it around my property before disassemble. Glad your safe but I do believe the 10 day warranty is expired.... 😬 but I think I’m gonna pass on the pillar and door. Currently getting my square ready for resale and the axle swap motor swap is eating my funds up quicker than expected. Thanks for taking the time to get the pics

Since Clayton is passing, have you had an opportunity to get underneath it yet? Rain has been crazy here also, I’d like to see the underside where it bolts to the floor support since I see rust lines on the exterior paint down low. Thank you.

Interested pending condition, looking for some really nice ones. Hopefully these were covered up and still in good shape. No rush on my end.

How many do you need? I still have 2 roof bows in the green one I have been cutting up. And just to clarify, you are talking about the squarish foam strip that sits in the top of the bow to keep it from rubbing metal on metal with the roof panel? It might take me a day or so to get them pulled out. I cut the complete roof off of that one but have it strapped in place to keep the inside dry. Have to move a FEW THINGS LOL to get to the straps.

The inner bottom of the entire burb is rusty rotten. Where it bolts to the floor support is rotten but here are some pics.

One of them has a couple cracks in the clear part of the plastic but the other two look pretty nice. I will try to get them out tomorrow for a close inspection of them.

Definitely interested. Was hoping to find a better one to fix my passenger side and use the original to build a driver side. Not your problem but with the bottom eat up do you have any wiggle room? Also any experience shipping something of that side to know approximate weight for a shipping “estimate”? Also will probably want to buy the passenger front and rear upper door frames. Obviously cut for shipping

I am pretty tight on the price. It is a pain to get them cut out and other than the very bottom edge it is pretty solid. I have shipped several thru Fastenal in the past. Are you talking about the actual door, door frames or the body sections of the door frames. I think I already may have some doors taken off with good upper frames.

Let me know how much you want for the 2 good ones. I need the little chrome clips on the ends to. Shipping to 89149.

My apologies, I meant the door opening. Like the actual body, was looking last night and could use the passenger front from between the b-pillar and the a-pillar. As far as removal I’m fine with 4 vertical sawZall cuts on each side and then cut the roof skin. I would prefer to dissect myself. Let me do some thinking because doesn’t fastenal have a minimum of like $150 or something? Sorry just never shipped something of that length/weight and trying to be prepared before I commit.

How far back into the 3rd door upper rail would you need so I can get a rough idea of crate size? Need all the way to the front angle down at the A pillar?

I would figure it would be at least 150 shipping but would want to check it b4 hand anyway.

On the top it would be 1” from the weatherstripping lip on both sides.
The upper door jamb 1” from the front corner, which lines up perfect with where the flat piece overlaps.
The bottom 7” wide which puts both sides just to the outside edge of the two curves

And to be honest I could care less about crating and fastenal. I’d be fine with wrapped in cardboard and sent. For what I need it for a little edge damage isn’t going to make a difference and it’s on 4.5” long. I’d say tape the upper door jamb to the b-pillar. Do a crude cardboard wrap and send it.
