90 burb (( daily dragger))

so I sold the 87 dually and bought a 90 2wd
started off like a grampa cruiser

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...Oct18_0001.jpg

removed a few things and dropped it a little

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...r04_0001-1.jpg
before the drop with acessories

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...Mar22_0002.jpg
after the drop removed most acessories

Re: 90 burb (( daily dragger))

what did you use to drop it? What size of tires are on it right now?

looking forward to seeing your roll-pan pics, I was sent a truck roll pan and had to make it work....its interesting!

rear is just a 6" flip with no overload spring has about 1.5" to frame

roll pan I got from sir micheal's with no tag box

tires in above pics are 31x10.50x15
still had inner fender in sat on them

will up date with new pic's with 235/75-15 and no inner fenders

little ruff rides about 1.5" from frame
no shock or bump stops rite now ( I know)
going to do a small notch this week
and looking to weld dropped pockets in lca's

unsure of rallies they need paint
red, black or silver what do you guys think

I was thinking red with some black scallops
till I paint in the fall

I have painted rally's on my Blazer. I took the rings off as there is just too much covered to make it worthwhile painting them. Especially wiht the wide 3" rings

A while back my GF's dad built her an '81 swb and put painted steeliles with the little smoothies or moon caps or whatever you call the little center hub caps.
He had some real small trim rings that couldn't have been more than 1" wide.
If I could find some of those that would mount to the rally's I would do that.

Re: 90 burb (( daily dragger))

update friday I'm ordering some sd axle mounts the under and behind ones but I'm going to run them facing forward and use the frame as my top mount welded on axle about where the shock mount is now then going to weld in a 4" pipe as a notch so I can add my bump stops and not lose any drop :metal:
drop is about done for now next step is some body work and shaving

cool bro keep us posted!

Re: 90 burb (( daily dragger))

So I'm going to give in and buy a 10" notch for rear
going to make it all work with only raising the floor about 4"s
should give me about 5-6" of drop
suspension wise I going to keep the 2 longest springs and add a block if needed
will be able to keep 3rd row seat on bridge cover and not lose any foot room
seat will be raised about 2"s at most
notch and bridge will be the only parts above the stock floor just for clearance issues

Re: 90 burb (( daily dragger))

took them to local guy
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...r29_0002-1.jpg
fully welded around

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...r29_0001-1.jpg
wrapped the end with 3/16 strap

not bad for $150 steel/welded

sits on crossmember with hear box in place
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...Apr30_0002.jpg
air dam 1" from ground
thanks chuck for stopping by and checking it out
needs 5.5"s to be level has 2"s to frame so a 3" notch should be good for now:lol:
:waah: makes the flip kit look like a lift kit :waah:

Re: 90 burb (( daily dragger))

looks like another week of rainy days so may not get the rear done till middle next week the local welder I found does body drops and and custom truck so hopin to work something out to get it all done at 1 time - notch, cover, weld up all rain gutter-sunvisor holes, rollpan, tail lights
will see work is slow so play cash is tight this month
