Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build
Here a older picture. Pre chrome and fresh 406cui smallblock. This is when I desided to keep the truck. The trade was on for a 1960 Chevy Hardtop. This motor was about to end up in the Belair.

Got lucky with the junkyard 1972 motor mounts. Landed square first time.

Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build
Found this on an old disk. This is after cutting the sidepipes off and the exhaust is right at the fenders where the sidepipes would be.

Took out the stock Heater and sent it to someone in need here. I plan on a Vintage Air unit. This little unit works better than my 1998 Durango. Here is some shots of the 406 cui. After a hose down to remove the antifreeze mess and blocking the heater ports. I gave it a quick shine and pressure check. I know I had some screws loose... but had some bolts loose and those got a good once over.

Few more. The '61 is rolling on 22 rear and 20 front. Local guy here in Sin City. Still has torsions. My T-5 (Firebird V-8) with S-10 tail shaft to move stick forward. The Hurst shifter is s-10 with a curve, still hits seat a little when in 2-4 but a nice tight shift.

I stoped by the paint store today to find a Blue. Originaly looking for a close match for the Majik Blue from House of Colors. Found and sample of the Daytona Blue that came on the 350z. The actual color out wows the internet pictures.

Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build
Very cool. I was just watching you open pipes video. Inspires me to get serious about adding cutouts on mine. At least I could uncork them and run around the fairgrounds at the next Goodguys event.

Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build

Put the bummmmmer on. The chrome is crap around the bolts. Back to the shop with this bumper :bsf:
The gap behind the bumper is going to have to be worked on and a roll pan to hide tailgate bolts and bumper hardware. |
Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build
Welcome to the board!, great looking truck, mind if I tag along?
|
Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build
Come on in the waters fine! The bumper makes it look lower in the back.
