I'm thinking he stole it from Greg :ito:

There is only one guy on the east coast that would have a 69 Cali tub :uhmk:

Thanks, I'll find out what it looks like in person this weekend.

Feel fairly confident with the source. ;)

Heading to Greg's on Friday to get things rolling. (literally)

Currently the frame is in his basement and the tub is down at his old house on the trailer.
I'm bringing down my one ton axles with me and we're hoping to install some suspension and mount the axles, so it's at least a roller.

No doors, no tail gate and no drive train but it's all good, I have the rest.

I think i've asked before but where did you get your one ton's from and how much if you don't mind me asking. Oh and is this truck intended for a rock crawler, I thought you already had one of those.

My one ton's are from an 86 CUCV truck, I paid $1100.00 for the set.

The focus for this build is to make a driver, meaning a blazer I can drive with comfort and have excellent reliability.
Fun comes into it too with those 4:56 gears, it should accelerate damn good.

It will also have a good cruise RPM's @ 65mph and comfy seats for those road trips and a low/low that comes close to rivalling a doubler set-up with a ratio of 79:1, for the days I choose to do a little wondering in the hills.

Didn't you recently have a very nice green blazer that you could have pretty much done the same thing too? Or do you still have that and want to keep it as a stocker? This will be one heck of a blazer though with those plans.

The green one sold last year. He's building this one as more of a resto-rod.

Not a lot got done on Friday being I got a later start than originally planned for.
Lots of BS'n about trucks and a good steak, ribs & beer dinner though.

One days work:
*Had a bare frame, had the axles, had the blazer tub on a 67 panel truck frame.
*Mounted axles under frame, rolled out of garage.
*Pulled tub off of panel frame and rolled that frame out of the way.
*Had to lift the blazer tub enough to clear 42"s, so the frame would roll under it.
*Installed the front clip.
*Left for home around 6:30p.m.

The spring's I already had and decide to use for the purpose of making it a roller, so if it looks like it sits a little 'off', it does.
Their 2.5" lift springs with a shackle flip in the rear but hey it's what we had, so it's what we used.

Lost almost 2hrs waiting around for the rain to lighten up too...

It's a damn nice tub, could almost build it and drive it as is. :bo2:

Pics aren't that great, it was pouring most of the afternoon.

I like that setup....

I know you have a few projects but here's a blazer near my house for sale... Guy was looking for around $900, I would love to build a trail rig but i'm knee deep in mine and no place to house another toy.

This one is a keeper, building it for ME, MYSELF and I. :D

Acquiring this one now also allows for the flip blazer to happen too.

I know what you mean, I was hoping they'd look good but wasn't positive I'd like em...I really do though.

I love the orange too. (always wanted one this color)

The blazer will end up looking very close to the way it sits right now, orange with a white top and I'm leaving the alloy wheels without any center caps, cause I'm diggin' the rugged look it gives, seeing the hubs. ;)

With the H2's, the front tires are inside of the fenders, which in my state will getcha a ticket if their not. (bonus)

Still searching for one more H2 wheel for the spare if anybody comes across one...

I can look for a rim at Carlisle... what should it cost for a nice straight one?

PM me your number and I can call you if I find something.

Decent H2 wheels can be had all day long for $100.00 on e-bay, $75.00 even if you catch it right.

Wanna look for some blazer doors for me while your there too? ;)
