looks great. whatcha gonna do for the bed?

98L150 11-18-2008 12:44 PM

Re: nelsons relaxed dropmember build

the truck will start body work and mods once the chassis is all done. he has all the body parts and they will be slicked and painted. The bed will have a removable step notch cover so that he can show off the suspension. Thanks for the interest

Re: nelsons relaxed dropmember build

just a heads up on the burb frame there is one body mount that gets removed to accomodate the frame 4-link mounts. I'll probably have to fab something there unless it seems strong enough without. Besides from what Nate has told me I can kiss my 2nd row seat goodbye so it's not like anyone will be sitting back there.

What paint did he use for the satin black ???

98L150 11-20-2008 10:48 PM

Re: nelsons relaxed dropmember build

being it was temporary paint for just a couple of shows before he tore it down, he spayed it with rustolium spay paint using one of those trigger you snap on to the spray can.

2nd. I never had a 3rd row. I may be able to build/upholster something for more seating but the stock 2nd row will never fit again. I'll know more once i get the body back on the frame.

Re: nelsons relaxed dropmember build

I've always liked the look of that truck! What was the reason for re-doing it all? It looked like it layed all the way out before? Did you guys get another frame to start over, because there was no notch or anything... What did it have under it before for suspension?

98L150 12-08-2008 08:01 PM

Re: nelsons relaxed dropmember build

the orginal frame had a 5-6" z (full width of the frame)and the rear was done with a lot of "different" ideas that did not work out to well that the previous owner did. when he found the new frame from another friend of ours it also had a clean mostly rust free cab which allowed the prefect oppourtunity to start clean and go with a cleaner newer set up.
