project lownslw64
Hi everyone, :metal:
I am like everybody else, been looking at the board for a while know but haven't posted my build. So, here it is. I have a 1964 swb fleet big back window that I took down to the frame and had it sandblasted. I por-15 the frame, x-members, rearend, trailing arms and anything else I could (that stuff is badass!). I Installed a porterbuilt front x-member with art arms, bags , rack and pinion, disc brakes and 5x5 bolt pattern in the front and bags on the trailing arms, 3:73 posi, disc brakes and 5x5 axles in the rear. I put the gas tank in the rear of the frame to get it out of the cab. Right know I have a ls1/4l60e combo with 38k miles out of a 02 camaro ss that I am cleaning up to install with sanderson headers and a griffin alum radiator with dual elec. fans.:chevy: IF PICS DONT UPLOAD THEY WILL BE UP SOON. Future plans include S.S. hard air lines, vintage air, ididit column, |

Re: project lownslw64
Subscribing!
Sound like a cool project. The ability to attach pictures is temporarily down. |
Re: project lownslw64
I like to use 'Tinypic.com' instead of the site system...you can load 10 pics per thread quickly that way.
Welcome aboard, btw from San Jose ! Sounds like your gonna have a bad-a$$ truck when your done !!! :metal: |

Re: project lownslw64
Where'd that truck come from?
From the grease-pencil writing on the windshield, it was a police impound at one time. I did police towing many years ago, so I recognize it. (not the truck, the writing.) |
Re: project lownslw64
Looks great!
|
Re: project lownslw64
your truck looks great!!! i love seeing projects like yours it gives me hope and ideas!!!
|
Re: project lownslw64
I bought the truck originally in scotts valley, ca. but, I ended up buying another cab off of a truck in san carlos that the guy bought it from a impound yard and he was parting it out.

Re: project lownslw64
I just realized we are almost neighbors (as long as you are in the NorCal Brentwood). I'm in Antioch near Wallyworld (aka: Walmart). If you need an extra pair of hands I might be able to help. I'd love to check out your project.
Keep up the good work. |
Re: project lownslw64

Here is some pics of progress this weekend. cleaned up my motor and installed my headers and fuel rail covers. still need to re-route fuel line on right side of motor so, the cover will sit flat.

Man that is a sweet truck!!!

Re: project lownslw64
I got to go over and see this build in person today. Freakin sweet frame and suspension. He is obviously taking his time and doing it right. He gave me lots of good advice toward my eventual build. We have alot of common goals with our trucks. I'm really happy that he let me come over and check it out. Great guy.
Thanks lownslw. My offer stands, anytime you need an extra hand, give me a call. |
