Here's one with a BIG load of wet mulch.

The auxiliary springs were really "HELPER" springs that day !!!

No pictures, but I had two loads of 50 sheets of drywall and 40 cases of tile in my 69 (before I converted it to 1/2 ton)

How about some heavy loaded trailers? Can't load up the inside like a truck very well lol Towed my burb on the trailer which was 8,000lbs combined, 73 Army chassis truck was roughly 10,000lbs combined and the white trailer loaded up was 12,000lbs.

Towed all those loads with no problems with the 350.

Sorry, but I honestly have no idea. I was just a wee lad when those pics were taken.

In looking at them over the years, I've always wondered how they loaded it up so high in the first place. They must have had someone with a strong back throwing the bales up to the person stacking on top of the load, but even so...

They were clearly proud enough of themselves that they took the pics, but your guess is as good as mine as to how it was done.

Maybe out of a barn loft? throwed it down into the truck?

i would never do that....i only beef 'em up. you never know when your truck will be needed to....well....be a truck. my dad put 3/4 ton coils on the back of his 72 burb c10. sat up nice and high in the rear even when loaded down with a big trailer. i picked up a pair of new 3/4 ton HD springs from LMC to install on my 72 burb c20 and will keep the stock rear coils for retrofit onto a possible future project (2wd blazer comes to mind).

Here is a couple. As can be seen, I really put my '72 to the test and it passed with flying colors. After I retire it (hopefully soon), going to start restoring it.

None of these are large loads. Just random pictures of some of my trucks when they had something loaded on them. I wish I had pictures of some of the loads I've had on these:

We were told 2000 lbs ? Getting it out was easy. Just tied it off to our dredge bucket/bar-b-que, grabbed 1st gear and slid her out.
