1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
A friend of mine on Deviantart.com, drew up a '67 Pontiac pickup, with the question "what if?". What if Pontiac had made a pickup?. Click on the link below to see the photo, and let me know what you guys think.

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
Pontiac didn't need a pickup truck in the 60s. their Bonneville/Catalina trunks were almost as large as a short box...
but how about a 67-68 4x4 Firebird? |

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
A member spotted a gold SWB that was done up,pretty well,as a Pontiac and showed pictures. I thought I saved them, but didn't find them. Does anyone else have those pictures saved?

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
Now we know why Pontiac didnt build trucks. I will say I like his neat little layout and ad.
And I love the Monkey Mobile ... Cant believe that haters  |

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
This was a real Pontiac concept truck.
http://images.hemmings.com/wp-conten...amino_lede.jpg I know these are El Camino based "trucks", but if Pontiac had every released a real truck based pickup in late 60's, they would have been the pullingingest (is that a word? -lol) trucks on the road. |
Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
Too bad they didn't build those, that is a nice GTO-camino, whatever you want to call it.

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
special K, the one you posted is owned by Jim Brady ,owner of Supersport Sales and he has quite a few rare rides .I got to see that one in person at the Maryland Chevelle Show last year. He likes rare and odd ones like factory big block 4 speed chevelle wagons .He is even restoring a 4 door 72 chevelle that was special ordered with bid block and 4 speed ,the only one known to exist.

Actually, My Jimmy GT project has a subtle Pontiac flavor to it. This is the Photoshop I did of what I'm planning for the nose:

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
Guys ,if you ever run across a GMC Sprint grill emblem for cheap grab it ,they are not reproduced and they are worth quite a bit . Reason I know this is a friend of mine has a 72 Sprint and his is missing that emblem and he was not willing to pay the price for a NOS one .

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...

Re: 1967 Pontiac Pickup?...
In the late 50's GMC used Pontiac 347 and 336 CI engines, as well as some smaller CI Pontiac engines earlier. So at least back then, there were Pontiac pickups, sort of ;)
