"Wally" The 68 Service Truck
1 Attachment(s)
It's a New Year so I thought I would start a new build thread. I bought this truck off a forum member last April. It's a 46k original mile truck that has only had one repaint and the best I can tell the service bed was installed in 68. My plans were to do a simple bag job and add a set of Detroit Steel Wheels but after a few months the motor and 4 speed started getting tired of running up and down the highway to the shop at 75-80 so now the motor needs to be replaced and this is where I'm at now. Enough talk.....let's see if I can get some pictures loaded!

I blasted the frame to get off 46 years of crud and have a nice surface for some paint.

Looks great, I see what you were saying about the Mobsteel wheels as they work great with that truck.

Re: "Wally" The 68 Service Truck
I love this truck! I would love to do one these as an install/service truck for my business (custom audio/video) but my business partner (whom does the installations) does not share the same level of excitement  so we have boring Express Vans. In fact when we started our business 10 years ago I found a nice '55ish panel truck that I wanted to make an install vehicle and it got nixed. We bought an old Astro instead that we named Gunther.

Re: "Wally" The 68 Service Truck
