Stockton Wheel

Anyone have experience with Stockton Wheel? As I’m searching for a set of 6-lug 16” wheels that play nice with 73-87 axles, a buddy suggested the “buy once cry once” route of Stockton. I’ve heard mixed reviews.

Back in 1994 I had good service from them when I had a set of 8 lug 16" steel rims made for my 72. I had to send them a set so they could remove the centers and re-welded them into wider rims, then silver powder coat each. I now have 16x8's and 16x10's. Not sure how they are now.

Thanks for the input. Fantastic truck and the wheels look perfect!

I just tried (twice) to send them an email and both were bounced back. So… I guess I’ll try calling when I have a chance.

I KNOW Stockton has struggled in the past. I recall they even shut down for some time when the owner passed. Maybe it's different now.

My experience w/them (circa 2010) was not a good one. Wheels I ordered were quoted @ 6-8wks but took ~4months to receive. Each time I inquired on their status I was given conflicting info regarding what step of the process they were in.

I have no experience with Stockton but you might try US Wheelhttps://www.uswheel.com/wheel/7657/u...?finishID=3796

I think you can also order these from Summit.

Re: Stockton Wheel

This is why I ask here. I get nervous when a company has a mixed reputation and then emails bounce back. But… unless a clean set of originals comes along (and I do have leads…) I think Stockton is the only option for an OEM type 16” wheel.

jweb - I had forgotten about the US Wheel smoothies. Not exactly OEM, but might be an option. Maybe I can find a pic of them on our trucks to get a better idea of how they look…

WV offers a 16" 8-lug steelie but they didn't offer a 5 or 6 lug steelie when I had mine done by Stockton (they were the only 5/6 lug option then).

I don't recall seeing a 5 or 6-lug option when I bought mine for my OBS/99 3/4 ton truck in 2017.
