It is stupid easy to get carried away with these builds. It's crazy that I will have almost as much if not more money in the parts that no one will ever get to see once it's done. But that's not why we do it...right

Yep. I have a ton of money hidden under seemingly rusty sheet metal.

The way my build had been going lately I'm not sure why I do it.

I think every builder experiences that at least a few times during the project. It's what pushes us to the finish line.

Well my August due date for paint has come and gone. But I haven't let that bother me to much and keep chugging along as the approach of cold weather and the fact that my interior has arrived. But I am starting to feel like I am trying really hard to find reasons to block sand panels and fix small areas in the fear that I will miss something come paint day. But everyday I am getting closer and closer.

Took a few days off and hit it hard today. Everything is ready for wet sanding!!! I will be purchasing all the paint this week. Very exciting.

It's getting there. Just have to try and slow down the next part so I can go through everything with a fine tooth comb. Did get a new tool today. Tired of expecting a $10k-$20k quality paint job with a $150 gun. Doing it right this time. My best work is done with the better tools, but I guess that is probably the case for most of us.

Got the inside of the bed ready for paint and seam sealed the cab...forgot how much that sucks. Will have to slick out a few spots but wet sanding has began and so far looking slick.

Parts washed. Couple small pin holes to fix yet but will spend the rest of the week going over the details cleaning and prepping the space to spray.

You are doing a spectacular job in prepping your parts and area, should have a great quality paint job on this ride :chevy:

Thank you. Its amazing how much time goes into to the prep work. I still have 4 more light fixtures to hang which will give me 10 led cans and a total of 40 linear feet of dual leds in the space. Also installing a 24" 3500 cfm direct drive exhaust fan with shutters in the exterior door which I will filter paint fumes going out. And opposite side windows will be my inlet air which will be triple filtered for a good clean flow of air.

I know thats a lot of boring info for some but I am excited to see the outcome in these conditions. Hopefully color will start flying this weekend.:ito:

What a pain. I wish I could spray it while hanging from the roof like mission impossible. Get some clear sprayed this evening.
