Nice fab work

What are the specs on those rear tires and wheels? The tires look to be good sized.

Just a quick update,I got the new wheels on the rear, also fininished the front control arms and was able to air up the front bags.I set the motor and trans in,I have some clearance issues with the rack but that is not surprising.I think I will get the cab installed then I can get the motor and trans mounts made.I also finished the rear panhard bar.I still have to get R & P attached to the spindles.I think once i get the engine mounts made I will start on the headers and exhaust. Thanks for looking.Attachment 925445

Re: SANFORD build thread

Looks like you need the small balancer and a small pulley.... scot douglas had to do the same thing when he used a rack .. should be some pics here somewhere...

Re: SANFORD build thread

Thanks guys, awbrown I saw in that build that he used the smaller balancer but i figure since I am building headers and exhaust any way I will just raise the engine a little and fit it where it fits best. Thanks for looking.

jhrusk 05-17-2012 07:03 AM

Re: SANFORD build thread

Updates coming soon,Hardwaa I thought I would build my headers but I have a set that I will make work,They will be under the truck and full exhaust with turndowns just in front of the rear bumper.Thanks.

I had to move the engine to the front motor mount holes and raise it about 1 1/2 to clear the rack.I think I will modify the bottom of these headers so I can raise them where they wont hang lower than the frame rails.I usually have around 20 hours in building a set of mild steel headers,so I will clean these up and use them.Attachment 934277

I love this truck!

I do have a question.
It appears your rack is offset to the drivers side.
Won't this affect bumpsteer?
(I'm no expert,.... I'm just trying to understand)

Maybe it's just an optical illusion,...
