i like that truck...a late model stepside bed, and the front fenders have been done to match.

I agree. The interior looks well done, but I am not sure if I like the blend of old and new. Definitely a nice truck.

Bowtie67 06-27-2004 08:05 AM

Without a doubt he has some serious time & money in this thing. I would like to really take real up close personal look at it.

LUV2XCLR8 06-27-2004 08:24 AM

THE SKILL IS THERE, NOT SURE ABOUT A BIG OLD SHIFTER 4 A AUTOMATIC

FRENCHBLUE72 06-27-2004 09:24 AM

That is a nice loking ride glad they made the fenderwell match as it really bring's the truck together..

Palf70Step 06-27-2004 01:31 PM

I like the way they matched it all up. I agree the shift looks a bit off for the combom, but I really like it. Guess I'll save my 96 if I ever wear it out.

I like that they went to the work of matching the wheel openings, but I think they went the wrong way........The older "round" openings would have been cool on the newer bed.

The graphics and the Yosimite Sam scream 80s though

Something like this.......

Someone has to say it ... nice workmanship but UGLY in my opinion.
The '68 has such nice lines I hate to see them messed with. :bs:

72 CustomCamper 06-28-2004 12:00 AM

I really don't care for the late model dash in it...

I would have to agree. I can appreciate the work that went into it but it is definitely not my style.

3rdGenrationChevyman 06-28-2004 12:43 AM

who owns that truck??? :banghead: what a waste! If ya want yer truck to look like a new truck, buy a new truck! dont mutilate a rare breed! Im gunna cry! Im sure alot of work went into it, but alot of work goes into the grafitti on my fence, too... I hope whoever buys it restores it maybe a wee bit to its former glory. that thing is butt ugly. sorry for the rant, but that sorta thing shorts me out.

super-k 06-28-2004 12:59 AM

Never looked, don`t like altering the best looking(modern)truck ever made to date.I feel the late bed thing is a cheap(easy)way out.Kinda like the ol`flatbed deal.It works, but keep lookin`for the right stuff.

70c10 06-28-2004 07:22 AM

I agree, alot of work went into the truck but that plastic dash is fugly. I never liked those dashes when I had it in my 92'.

toddtheodd 06-28-2004 03:48 PM

I agree with LONGHAIR, the older round wheel openings look much better.

Grim Reaper 06-28-2004 04:17 PM

Lot of quality work but that is my least favorite dash EVER in a full size. The dash after that I like but I hate that one. It has never looked right to me.

72 CustomCamper 06-28-2004 04:44 PM

Kind of hard to restore it back to stock. They screwed the cab when they chopped it...

Not my cup of tea, But almost great workmanship. But why would you do all that work, and put a handbrake on the floor and not put a foot brake in (instead of the original handbrake). Not a big fan of the big ole auto shifter either.

MandarinSixSeven 06-29-2004 08:50 PM

man, same to waste such an amazing interior on such an ugly exterior

1971 Cheyenne 06-29-2004 09:06 PM

My first thought was AWESOME because of the matching fender openings. I think it really makes the new and old blend together awesome. Round openings might be better, (convertng new to old rather than trying to make old look new) But I hate the dash. Original looks 100 x better. Thw fender well openings is one thing that you will not notice unless you know these trucks well, but it is well worth the work IMO if you are putting a late bed on 67-72's...

The person who built this truck definately has more money than brains. Not my idea of a cool '67-'72 truck. Thing ought ta be crushed. Don't gasp, not too much of a loss for us, it's mostly NON '67-'72 anyway, ...cheer up!

WB72 06-30-2004 01:22 AM

I'm not a big fan of the new stepsides on this truck. What was he thinking, when he ahs a stick for an automatic tranny.

My $0.02

Blue Beard 06-30-2004 07:37 AM

Truck didn't even make the $5k mark on bidding........

Wasted talent..

lost wages 06-30-2004 10:37 AM

hey, lets all build the same truck

jorgensensc 07-01-2004 05:03 PM

Point taken lost wages!
