Led frount turn signals/park lights for GMC?
 

Any one know whare to get any full panel led frount trun / park light for GMC. I know you can get them for any year chevy. But I can't find them for 67-72 GMCs. No love out there for chevys big brother.

Ya I might have to have you do that sence there is no other options. I'm going to wait a wile anyway. Git to get the cash first. Haha. Just wanted to know if there whare any aftermarket option that I did not find. Gess not.

I've been considering going LED for turn signals, too. I'm not into modernizing but drivers are getting so dangerous it's more of a safety upgrade like shoulder belts, radials, and halogens.

These lenses are riveted to the buckets (for some reason that evades me). I have a collection of the front park/turn lamps, including ones with cracked and/or faded lenses. I could send some to you, Robznob, for your pattern making if you are into making some

I agree 100% with you. If your make them I will definitely buy a set. I could also possibley send one but I would need it back. The rivits are easy to remove and replace with bolts for resembling

I would like to see what they look like if you do them rob. Only thing that would bother me is there would be a little work to change the LEDs if there was a problem apposed to the original bulbs.

Look guys, I dont have a problem making them. The reason i typically don't is because the chevy front turns are the same size as the tails and require the same materials and time to make. Most people just dont want to spend 175 for them. However the GMC look to me to be smaller im not sure because i have never physically seen them. If so I may can do them a little cheaper. Im not trying to price gouge, but it takes quite some time + materials to make them. I can tell you they will be legit and bright for sure. As far as the conversion...i will install pigtails on them so they they will plug right into a 1157 socket assuming thats what the original bulb is. Therefore if you wanted to switch back it would be possible. Fyi im pretty sure i have enough amber leds in stock to build at least one set or maybe 2. If anyone wants to be the first and let me borrow a lense and housing. Ill get them out. Im currently finishing a set of burb tails up and then im free...

I found a set on ebay for pritty cheap of you wanted to go that rout. Save on the shipping and you could keep them. https://www.ebay.com/i/223142229971?...CABEgLOaPD_BwE it's clams to be chevy ones but they are in fact GMC.

I don't see the cost of custom work as price gouging. A man needs to be paid for his time to give you what you want that is otherwise unavailable.

Would measurements help as a first step? I am saying I will send one, or both, for free as guinea pigs. They would need replacement lenses.

I looked at the listing and they do appear smaller. I may regret this statement lol but im willing to do 1 set for the first person who wants to let me use a bucket and lense forn$125 ill pay the shipping back. In USA😁

I really would like to have a bucket and lense, even if its cracked as long i have the shape. I prefer to test fit each unit. If you have a doner that would be awesome
Yes a quick measurement of the raised portion of the lense should give me an idea of materials and time. They will likely set inside that portion.

Done deal. Send me your address. I can get back to you with the measurements later today. Unfortunately, I'm not in good shape at the time to be the first owner of a set. I'm tempted but feel I'd be setting myself up for a self-asskickin' :cool:. I was slow on work and now all my irons in the fire. Self-employed one man operation sure has it's "cycles" (like a roller coaster)

If special-k send you the bucket and lens. Ill buy the first set at full price. If special-k can't. I could also get mesurments. I have both of mine already torn apart.

I can vouch for Robs work guy's he is the real deal when it comes to LED's and he will stand behind them also.
My tails and cargo light's are Rob's.

I appreciate you Andy! Yes i will stand behind them! Only thing I won't do is warranty boards that have had excessive water from lack of good seals! I have only seen this once the guy put the weep holes on burb reverse lights upside down and they filled with water. Eventually it caused the Leds to rust and a couple of rows quit working all tho theu were still functioning at about 2/3rds lol! However in that situation if you make a booboo I work with you the best I can!

I too have robs LEDs all around except the gmc front signals and they look great. Please post pictures of them here when they are complete. I will most likely be in for a pair as well cause all the rest of mine are now LEDs.
