I had a call with the guy who has the 402BBC and it looks like it will be mine, pending everything sounds good with a couple trips around the block.

I'll be getting the running engine with all of the accessories and brackets, minus a carb. I picked up a turbo 350 today from my brother as well.

I cannot wait until next weekend. Saturday we go get the motor, sunday we get the truck. I'll have a week or two to get things cleaned up and form a better idea on what the plan is. Ii'll be doing some parts shopping in about 2 weeks. Then the fun really begins!!

btw, i sure hope we don't get much more of the white stuff this year. I just got done having the talk with my wife about the garage. It all started with the "So where is that thing gonna go when you get it here?". Uhg... i knew it wasn't going to be good from there. :) So, long story short, i'll be scraping my windows until it warms up here. :dohh:

you know that saying, don't count your chickens before they hatch? well i just got a call from the guy with the 402. He sold it today.

I guess the "I'm coming with cash and a cherry picker" didn't sound serious enough. can't blame him though. first come, first serve.

but, the hunt goes on. found a couple other BBC's here locally, but not exactly what i'm looking for. we'll see what the week brings.

welp, it's official, and in my garage. I picked up a strong running 396 today. Gonna start cleaning it up tonight. i'll post pics later.
