Rare optional 3 speed overdrive trans

Found a lady selling off her deceased husbands stash of 1950's and 1960's pickup parts here in Alabama and I am going to drive over and acquire all of it in the morning. Among the interesting parts I spotted was a seldom seen original 3 speed overdrive transmission and bellhousing. the two were separated so I'll have to wait and see if they truly go together but assume so. Anyway, until I load it all up I won't know what all I am really buying, but I wanted to tell all of you about the 3 speed O.D. because that is a very highly sought after changeover trans with many enthusiasts in the 60-66 crowd.

Text me at 256 486 1988 with 60-66 parts wanted and I will check the stash and see if its among these items I am getting tomorrow or something maybe I already have

Do you by chance have this bracket? It is the bracket that is held on by the solenoid bolt that holds the overdrive cable sheath. Thanks

What’s the ratio of the top gear? Will it fit a 66 K14 Burb?

You need to post the price.

You also need to check and see if it is a Tri-Five 3 speed OD transmission. They are different. They will bolt up to the later bell housings but if I remember correctly first gear is not synchronized in them. Also, a different bolt pattern on the side cover. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.....

All of the 4 bolt side cover overdrive transmissions are non-syncro 1st. The 7 bolt side cover overdrive transmissions are fully-syncro'd

Got the trans and it is a non-synchonized 1st gear type trans with a 56 or 57 date code so will work on 60-66 but not date coded to 60-66. $250 for the trans itself - no other OD related parts were present - inquire if interested
