EFI fuel line routing

I ordered a kit from TanksInc, and I think I may have the wrong filter/regulator.

I have an SUV 5.3 with the truck intake. I guess this type of stock setup uses this type of flow system? Would you agree?

But I ordered this type of Filter/Regulator:

It seems that the above Regulator does not need a return line running from the engine. The return line out of this filter goes right back to the tank?

So, do I need to just run my return line from the engine, and "Y" into the return line from this regulator to the tank?

Or do I need to get a completely different filter/regulator?

I have run both styles. The first style is factory on 2000-2004 truck intakes which have a vacuum pressure regulator built in to the fuel rail system, pressure line to fuel rail/ return line to tank.
Second style uses the Corvette style regulator shown, pressure line to regulator/return line from regulator to tank, no return line on fuel rail system. Both style work well but you can not mix and match.

My 6.0 engine is the return rail style...I used -an fittings and blocked off the rail return ,and used the vett filter/reg right after the pump....either way works...but like fasttoys said ,dont mix and match

Do you have a return line on your truck ?

I have tanksinc setup with that filter/regulator and used hotrodfuel 6AN fuel hose braid ........

But yeah - I have a 2007 truck intake (hummer) with no fuel rail return.
