66 c10 Rear Cross Sill

Does anyone know where the spot welds should go on the rear cross sill?

Mine was welded on each bed side. did not re-weld when i put the bed back together. This was a fleetside. Others have said no need. Heavy loads probably.

Fleetside rear bed crossmembers were welded to the bedsides. Like 61K10 said, really no reason to weld them unless doing a 100% factory restoration.

Bolts should be tight or the sides will drift out of square, mine did

Somewhat related question, how hard was it to remove the rear cross sill from the bedsides?

My experience is there is a weld across here that can be a pain to get to.
