Tail light wiring

So i just got my engine dropped into my truck and got it all running. everything is working good so far but the taillights/brake lights and blinkers wouldn't work... So i got up under the rear of the truck to find that someone compltely ripped the wiring out of the truck... :waah: The wiring that is somewhat left is all rotted and gnarly. So what i'm getting at is, Does anyone know of a rear section wiring harness i could get for my 71 longbed c20? headlights work fine just everything from the rear of the cab is ****ty.

Re: Tail light wiring

there are quite a few places that make wire harness sections available from most vendors at varying high prices

on a strict budget?? it is only 4wires to the rear end and quite easy to fabricate your own wiring with a knowledge of electricity and a wiring diagram/// me i use heavy duty trailer wiring to fab rear harnesses

Send a private message to Randy, his forum name is 'Teeitup' More than likely, he will have what you need.. (cheaper than buying a new one I'm betting)

Welcome to the board by the way.

Thanks guys, Most parts stores i go to look at me like i just asked for a flux capacitor or something. Didn't think it would be that hard. I don't want to spend a ton of money on some fancy pants harness. This is going to be a kinda ratty looking chopper hauler for my speed shop. If i have to just use some trailer wire i will but if there is a cheap little in between option that would kill it!

You can get some primary wire and make your one, but wire is not cheep. By the time you get all of the supplies you need, you could probable get a good used one cheaper.
