tail shaft

I was wondering if a tail shaft from a 3 speed 4x4 saginaw trans would work on a 4 speed muncie 2wd trans? im just rolling this in my mind and was curious..

Re: tail shaft

No, not from a Saginaw to a Muncie, but a transmission to transfer case adapter and main shaft from a Saginaw 3 speed will work with a Saginaw 4 speed. Quite a few years ago I had a Saginaw 3 speed with a Dana 20 out of a 71 Blazer and I put the transfer case on a Saginaw 4 speed for a woods buggy that I built.
