Correct. They both fit into the "X," but the X in the shortbed frame doesn’t spread as wide.

No.. mines a 66.. I forgot the earlier ones had the xframe.. My bad..

Ok yeah with the ladder frame short and long doesn't matter. Are you looking to sell one?

I have a couple of them for the ladder frames.. Most of my parts are gmc not chevy.. I will be liquidating parts soon..

I also have one here in a 1961 GMC 1/2 ton long bed stepside Custom Cab, was V6/Factory Auto...crossmember still there (see pic) will ship, will have to research pricing first...this would have been the cast iron powerglide I am assuming in 1961

That one is GMC only, for the GMC Hydramatic only..
