Converting Dash Cluster

So I am picking up a dash cluster from Jerry Jones (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=1#post5495987)

Right now I have the basic spedo/fuel one and an aftermarket bolt on tach and under dash cluster oil, temp, batt.

The one I'm currently sporting has the spedo busted, so either way this used one is a massive upgrade for me.

Looking over new parts, would it be feasible to add a tach and vacuum to this with some ease by adding a lens and board? Would I need anything else? The vacuum gauge seems possible, but the tach seems like I might run into issues with missing parts/housings etc.

Has anyone even tried to do this sans a full kit? The kits are 300+. The gauges and boards are about 180.

Thanks again for any help on this.

I just found some more info on this. Looks like I just need the different housing with the hole cut for it.

here's some recent info I got on here regarding converting from idiots to gauges - if that is what you're really looking for. Good info from GMC Paul's. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=534596

Thanks. I will need this. A rewire shouldn't be an issue, but finding that housing is going to be an issue.
